Dr Austin, severed my ulnar nerve during a surgery to repair my broken arm and also put a plate and screws in that were not the proper hardware which resulted in limited range of motion among other things! This resulted in me having to have another unneeded surgery!!! During that surgery it was confirmed that the permanent nerve damage I was left with was caused by him. This was verified by a specialist.

He was at Schuyler Hospital and he did my knee replacement surgery. He put a flexibility one in when it needed a stability one and all he could say about it was it was a judgment call. I had to have it re-done. at Bishop’s Associates in Elmira. Doctor Bowman performs the surgery to fix it. He is really amazing he had to put spacers in because when Austin did my knee replacement he had removed too much bone and made that leg shorter than the other. It was a terrible time for me. His bedside manner is ridiculous. Like I said he shouldn’t be a doctor.

Dr. Austin should never perform thumb joint replacement again on anyone. He ruptured a tendon in my arm and had no idea how to fix it. Did not even tell me he ruptured my tendon had to see another dr. to try to fix my hand which is now very ugly and handicapped. any dr. that tells a patient he needs to get his book out and read what to do next, should not even be a dr. I will never recommend this dr. to anyone.

He has no bedside manner and acts like he is better than you. He appears to always be in a hurry. I was diagnosed wrong by Dr. Austin and had to seek treatment at another local area office to get my issue fixed. I do NOT recommend this Dr. to anyone. There are other Dr.'s within that office that are GREAT! Just NOT him. Sorry Dr. Austin!
