Dr. Mathis was the 9th doctor I consulted across a 6-month journey of frustration through the healthcare system. Not only was he the 1st surgeon who was confident he could address my presenting problem, but he was also the 1st to recognize that I had a 2nd, unrelated issue of greater concern that he could also address with a 2nd surgery. It's weird to walk into a surgeon's office feeling hopeless, walk out having learned you have an even bigger problem, and feel totally confident for the 1st time that you are, finally, in the right hands. Dr. Mathis expressed genuine concern for me, patiently educated me & answered all my questions, treated me throughout with kindness & dignity, and even made himself available to me after my surgeries in case I had any questions or concerns. Unfortunately, this human-centered approach to healthcare is rare today, which makes Dr. Mathis' skills as a surgeon and compassion as a person a rare combination I feel lucky to have found. Thank you, Dr. Mathis!

Dr Mathis listened to my health concern. I did not feel I was just another faceless patient, nor was I rushed. Dr Mathis was thorough and kind in his evaluation. I recommend Dr Mathis as your ENT Specialist.

Gave very kind attention to each problem, tracking from previous visit, and wanting to follow up. Coordinated with another specialist in the office. I had to wait a few months to become a patient, but after this second visit it was clearly worth the wait.

Dr Mathis is very friendly, thorough and very professional. And also the female who did all of the testing was very nice, helpful and very professional too. I will recommend this ENT office practice to my family and friends.

Called for acute problem and was seen same day with thorough triage assessment by audiologist, followed by exam and definitive treatment by Dr Mathis

Have seen the doc several times over the last 13-15 years. Takes lots of time to explain and explore the options. Had a head CT scan and he showed me some stuff that was problematic...highly recommend. Office has gotten busy, but not excessively long wait
