Dr. Cooper seemed like a well educated physician, however, had a very poor bedside manor. Despite trying to get in with my primary physician, I saw him for an acute injury and he put in a referral for a specialist. Since I recovered well, I didn’t see a need to go to the specialist or follow up with my primary that books out quite far. Both of which notably made Dr. Cooper frustrated for a subsequent issue that again, my primary was not available for. This did not make sense to me (why would I seek more medical attention for a healed injury?) and made me feel quite uncomfortable and like a burden. Attitudes from providers like this deter people like me from going to the doctor unless it’s an emergency, which defeats the purpose of preventative care and can have dire consequences.

Very unconcerned with anything you have to say that’s not on a questionnaire he hands you. To Dr Cooper, patients aren’t human and instead sheets of paper.

Dr. Cooper has proven to be indifferent and unconcerned when presented with serious medical concerns. He is quite skilled at reviewing vitals, fulfilling the very minimum required in an office visit. I would hope that a qualified doctor (which I question in his case) would refer a patient to a specialist if he is not able to treat the condition. This family's elderly parents have suffered his incompetence and have realized that they will have to find someone who cares.

Dr. Cooper always asks if he's answered all of my questions, and I never feel rushed with him.
