Dr. David Irwin Malitz, MD

I went to several appointments with Dr Malitz and finally it was time for the cataracts to be removed from my right eye. I go to get the cataracts removed and Dr Malitz went out and talked to my Friend who took me to the surgery and he tells her that I'm good and everything went just fine in the surgery. I go home and go back in the next day for my follow up appointment. Dr Malitz wasn't there so I saw a different doctor who tells me everything went good in the surgery. Then I follow up with another appointment the following week. On my way back to see the doctor one of his nurses asked me if I still wanted him to remove the cataracts from my left eye and I said yes. I get in to see Dr Malitz and the first thing he says to me is that there was a mistake made in my surgery so I say what mistake then he tells me that there is something like a shell that surrounds the eye and they had cracked that shell. He kept saying WE cracked that shell. First of all Dr Malitz is my eye doctor and… nobody but him. So nobody should have been working on my eye but him. It wasn't that WE cracked that shell but it was that HE cracked that shell and why was I just then hearing about this? Why did he tell my friend after the surgery that everything went just fine? Needless to say he is not my doctor any more.

If I could give Dr. Malitz a "10-star rating" I would! Not only is Dr. Malitz a great doctor, he's a wonderful and compassionate human being. He is a true credit to his profession in every sense!.....

I heard Dr. Malitz speaking poorly of my father (the patient) in the hallway after his exam. A tech laughed at his comment about what he thought we could afford for cataract surgery. A very unprofessional environment indeed. A self-serving doctor who treats his patients less than when he thinks they cannot hear him.

Dr. Malitz is a very good and kind surgeon. Everything went well and I know if I had not had the surgery I would not be able to see as well as I do now. There was no pain involved. All the staff is wonderful. Betty B.

Cannot be happier with the care or vision!

About 6 people waiting for various procedures were seated in one open room. Each of us were concerned about how we would do, so there was talk back & forth. The place was a maze of activity with nurses busling around getting us ready. Dr Malitz was walking in & out of the procedure room & I sensed we were like in an assembly line & when I went in for a quick lazer proceedure, Malitz seemed annoyed because I was a bit uneasy. My blood pressure top # was 195 but I don't recall the bottom. I've never had such a high # & the nurse acted like nothing was wrong. Won't go back.

So pleased with my care...

Horrible customer service. Rude staff. Incorrect prescription. Nobody knew what they were doing.

Dr. Malitz is experienced professional recommended ever

Dr. Malitz was "friendly" and was genuinely interested in the purpose of my visit. In short he was not the typical on auto pilot Dr. that one usually is faced with . His personal care for your best welfare was very evident. What A welcome relief!
