Dr. David Smithson Mason, MD

During the last 20+ years, I have requested Dr. Mason whenever a health problem arose. The problems included gall bladder, two surgerys for herniated colon and a partial hysterectomy. I would worry if Dr. Mason were not available. He is an expert at his profession; he is personable - even funny- understanding, compassionate and a down-to-earth man. I cannot say enough about how this man has continued to add years to my life. You cannot go wrong with the best: David Mason. If 10 stars were available, that would be my choice.

I had 2 procedures done by Dr. Mason. The first was a colonoscopy. It went perfectly. He was very informative and patient both pre and post op. He put me at ease throughout the whole process. I had zero complications. The second was a sphincterotomy due to a chronic anal fissure. After the surgery, again, I had zero complications and never again experienced any pain from the chronic problem. I highly recommend Dr. Mason.

I was so scared to discuss my issues with a male physician. I was to the point I had no choice when my primary sent me from Wesley Chapel way out to Habana I was upset but after meeting this amazing Dr. I would travel to another state to treat with Dr. Mason. Amazing care! He treated me with professionalism one on one gentle care and I was able to discuss my problems he has helped me more than any other Doctor PLUS he listens to what issues you are having. I can't say enough wonderful things about this physician I just wish we had more like him in our net-works!

Performed a surgery and had no clue how to care for it afterwards. He provided terrible direction that resulted in more damage, which led to even long healing process. Even worse, when I had to keep going back for office visits due to his poor direction, he was extremely rude and gave me more bad instructions that resulted in more damage...again. Go find someone else!!

My family has been served by Dr. Mason for many years. I would recommend him without hesitation. He is knowledgeable, skilled and caring. What more could one ask for.

Found Dr. Mason online after I had some concerning symptoms. Long story short- he saved my life!! If you need a doctor that specializes in his field you must see him. The wait time at the office is long but it's worth it. He discovered my cancer, immediately did surgery and I'm alive today because it! He is the best in his field.

Dr. Mason is the most knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate surgeons I have ever met. After searching for five long years I was blessed to find a doctor who was not afraid to take on my case.
