Dr. David Andrew O'toole

He is a awesome doctor..... I love going to him...... He make sure you understand everything he is telling you... A very caring doctor... From Rita and all her friends

I did not have a good exsperence with Dr. O Toole ..i am not in a wheelchair and i am not rich .i am a house wife that has lower back pain and have for years i just want to not hurt i was recommended by Novant north west .when i first went to him i just wanted not to hurt .i was scheduled an injection the first one was bearable the next 3 hurt really bad so after 4 injections i am hurting wirse .i didnot know this was a pain management i was referred after exrays and them telling me it was my l345and 6 and arthritis in back They scheduled me for more injections. Ask to be sedated because the last ones were very painful. I went to Novant. And Winston-Salem was sedated and receive the shots. They told me it would take about two weeks to feel the full effect. By the time I got home. It hurt to lay on that side. And it continue to hurt. I go back to the doctor. I told and he schedules me for more shots this time in the hospital in Kernersville. Again, I ask to be sedated because the shots… are very painful. When I got To the hospital they started an IV. For the injection sedation The Ivy was not properly fit in doctor O'Toole proceeded with none shots in my back no sedation and nothing for pain. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I'm not in a wheelchair. I am not rich. I do not have a life-threatening. Disease and the degenerative disc disease that I do have was diagnosed by dr. O'Toole. For him to do 9 injections taking 8 minutes without anyting for pain. No sedation Was unfair to me. I realize this man has a 4.9. Review and that has helped many people. But he has not helped me. And my pain is worse. And he has caused me unnecessary. Pain When all I ever asked was to be pain free. Aren't you at least get some kind of relief? My back is now worse than it was.

I came to see Dr. O'Toole with severe L5-S1 nerve pain shooting down my left leg. His wit and sense of humor was just right for calming my fears. The ESI (epidural steroid injection) wasn't pain free, but a lot more bearable than the severe nerve pain. After about 6 weeks I realized my pain had disappeared. Thank you Dr. O'Toole!

Told him I had 4 nerve blocks and none worked but he insisted on trying one. I swear it made my condition worse. Odd to have a Dr with tats that look like they came from prison or some weird ritual but that really shouldn’t matter nowadays. Nurses are non responsive when you call for something serious.

I see Dr. O’Toole in Kernersville. He and his staff are caring, compassionate and engage in conversation. I have seen and researched many pain management specialists in the Triad and he is a perfect fit for me. I’d definitely give him more stars if I could.

Doctor O'toole great but one appt staff not understandable and refuses to allow me to speak to the doctor. My insurance changed so i changed appt to today i didnt get usual text but staff member claims that im taking no responsibility for missing appt, i cant control my insurance comp, and because i didnt get my text i was 35minutes late this morning and i drove 2hrs to be told it was up to Dr.O'toole if i get to stay, i honestly dont think it will even be discussed with him because the staff member bluntly stated my prescriptions wouldn't be refilled. So i feel the decision has already been made. But i will give the doctor 5 stars but he needs better understanding staff. Ill be sending letter to doctor by my aunt when she goes for visit to hand to him personally.

Loved him. He is very knowledgeable. The first doctor I've seen that understands my condition. His office manager was very nice and I really liked him. They both made me feel very comfortable and I felt like my feelings were respected.

Love these guys in this office and ladies sorry! Dr Otoole is the best and I love being able to talk to him. he heads compassion for everyone.such a awesome man!
