Dr. David Todd Ober, MD

Dr Ober always listens to any concerns I have and addresses them. I am very pleased with the level of care he provides. I never feel like he's rushing me out the door just to get to the next patient until he's answered all my questions.He's a wonderful caring doctor and I am glad I am under his care.

I want to say that some years ago, Dr Ober was the only neurologist out of 3 that diagnosed my father in law with Parkinson’s. I had believed he had the disease but 2 neurologists told me he didn’t. Dr Ober gave him a thorough exam and after putting him on the medicine he slowly regained the ability to perform most activities. As a result he gave him a number of years back. Needless to say, the family is forever grateful to Dr Ober for the way he improved my father in law’s quality of life.

Dr Ober has a great personality and listens to his patients. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years and recommend him to anyone needing a neurologist.

Dr. Ober is a nice, fine doctor, but he misdiagnosed my elderly mother in a big way causing us all kinds of aggravation and unnecessary fear. It wasn't until we went to a real expert in what HE should have been the expert in that we got a proper diagnosis and my mom was able to resume her life with the correct diagnosis and treatment. I think he just wanted to believe he was good at diagnosing and thus the incorrect diagnosis. He felt he had to come up with something so, grasping at straws, he stuck us with an incorrect diagnosis. Not good practice of medicine. Otherwise, he's a nice guy and I have no other complains except this one which caused us a lot of pain.

So impressed

After all the years of treatment Dr. Ober has given my family, I was completely taken aback that he left the current practice location without so much as a word to anyone. Usually, doctors send out letters weeks in advance about their leaving the current practice and about where they are going--along with suggestions regarding whom their patients may see for further treatment. This doctor left without a word. I find this totally unprofessional, selfish and noncaring of his patients. I know that there are other doctors where he worked at Rockland Neurological, but it is HIS responsibility to make suggestions and to offer another suitable doctor that he thinks might be helpful in treatment the very specific illnesses of his patients. Highly irresponsible the way he handled this. Never thought he was like that--always held him in the highest regard, but this has put a dent in my very high regard for him. Sorry to say.

He milks the insurance company so watch out for that...He is very unprofessional! When I asked for a procedure to be done to get rid of my migraines, he smiled as if it were a joke! He wanted to make an appointment for me two weeks later for no reason and when I refused, he then said how about in six weeks, I said no there is no reason for me to come in and then his exact words to me were I can't help you than go to someone else! Remember to watch out for the scam he's trying to pull on the insurance companies!

My 87-year old mother has been seeing Dr. Ober for several years now to deal with the difficult disease of Myasthenia Gravis. His bedside manner is always professional and caring, and he treats her with the dignity and respect she deserves. This, in turn, makes my mother feel very comfortable in his presence. Dr. Ober is also very attentive, and his exams are consistently thorough. Whenever we have put in a call in to Dr. Ober, he has returned that call on the very same day. Best of all, my mother's disease has remained extremely well controlled under his care. It is greatly comforting to know that my mother is in such competent hands. I haven't had too much to do with the office staff members, so I really can't comment about them. It's a big office, but it seems to be efficiently run as far as I can tell. What I can say with certainty is that you will not be disappointed if you choose Dr. Ober as your physician.

Hit traffic and ran a couple minutes late to my appointment. I kept calling to tell them I was running late, but they were still on service. They refused to take me, and had the worst attitudes. I tried them in the past and had another terrible experience. My advice is to travel to another county for a neurologist. This office is poorly managed, and have the worst patient care. Don't say I didn't worn you!
