Biography
I practice general adult psychiatry and have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1979. For the first seven years, I specialized in emergency and consultation work with medically and surgically ill patients. My practice has been based in Woodland Hills since 1990. I have three children, who are now well on their way in their adult lives.
About my practice
I work with a dedicated and knowledgeable group of psychiatrists and psychotherapists, and our teamwork makes day-to-day patient care a rewarding process. Most of my patients also see a psychotherapist for talk therapy. Like the other psychiatrists at our clinic, I evaluate and follow a large number of Kaiser Permanente members for depression, anxiety and various other psychiatric disorders. My work is primarily focused on psychopharmacology, which is diagnosing and treating biological aspects of emotional and behavioral symptoms. I am fortunate to have an advice nurse who provides high-quality …help for my patients that call between their appointments. This improves patient care tremendously.
How I thrive
I believe that a healthy lifestyle is incredibly important for physical and mental health. Endurance running and swimming have been important anchors in my personal stress management.
