Dr. David Shawn Pierson, MD

Dr. Pierson is very detailed, knowledgeable, and friendly! I have taken my kids to him at PNP many times; he takes time to explain everything, listens to you, makes accurate diagnosis, and makes feel you comfortable. Excellent doctor!

I have been seeing Dr. Pierson for 10 years now with my children. I have never found him to be condescending: he's always taken my concerns seriously, made the kids comfortable, and helped. And most importantly, I trust his advice. On many occasions, I really appreciated his knowledge and his experience.

He is the most genuine, caring pediatrician I've ever met. He really knows his stuff. I am a worrier when it comes to my children and he tends to make me feel better about the situation when i go into panic mode. People might take his calming personality and see it as condescending or uncaring but that is not the case at all

I've seen Dr. Pierson many times over the past three years for my child. I agree with the reviewer who said he is condescending. That's the exact feeling I got every time I saw him. He may be skilled physician but I always feel that he is dismissive towards me. He responds to any question I have about my child's symptoms with raised eyebrows and a sarcastic comment, as if he can't believe the parents can waste his precious time by asking ignorant questions. Some people have said they like his laid-back approach, but there is a clear difference between being laid-back and rude, and I think he doesn't have a great bedside manner. Also, he recommends too many diagnostic tests that some of his coworkers don't. Overall, I gave him 3 stars to be fair, but going to see him was never a pleasant experience for me.

Incredibly rude and condescending. Not helpful at all when my son had HMF. He came into the room didn't even introduce himself-he just sat down well more like slouching. He didn't want to answer to any of my questions. Laughed at my questions. Made rude remarks. Didn't want to do anything. He shouldn't even be a doctor.

He is th best Doctor you will find!!! No Exaggeration!! He is Doctor of my Son and Daughter.

Dr. Shawn Pierson (and his father, Dean) are the best!! He is our pediatrician for both our son and daughter. He was the one who discovered that our son had a staph infection on his leg when he was only 10 months old and took decisive action to get him immediate help. He sent him to a hospital not exactly close but sent him there because it was considered one of the best pediatric hospitals in the state. I also like his laid back attitude!
