Dr. David George Powley, DO

My husband has had good care and follow up with Dr Powley for the last 18 years.

Dr. Powley is a great doctor but he needs to learn that he is the "advisor" and the patient is the "decider". His idea of "his way or the highway" is not highly regarded.

Can be grumpy on occasion (other people tell me) but is a smart guy and has always spent good time with me explaining things for me and my husband.

My dad suffered extremely bad care from Dr. Powley. Dr. Powley refused to give my dad tests to diagnose the extreme pain he was having in his lower back. Dr Powley told us dad had arthritis with no supporting tests and that dad was an old man and should have pain. He refused to do even an xray of my dad's back and basically told my dad and my family we were lying about the level of pain my dad was in. We went to another doctor and found out my dad had cancer in his spine and that was causing the extreme pain. Unfortunately the diagnosis came much to late to relieve my dad of his pain and he died only a few days after his diagnosis.

Dr. Powley well may be a good Dr., but his bedside manner is bad or non existent. He can be distant and even rude in his choice of words and manner. I've caught him in mistakes which he refuses to acknowledge. I am sure he has gone back and modified the record to reflect his version of what happened. Only go to this Dr. if you have thick skin. Also, he lives about 70 miles away from the office so any bad weather or road problems, and you'll be cancelled.
