Dr. David Richey Lane, MD

I could not be more pleased with the medical care I have received from Dr. David Lane. Over the span of a few years, I have had four Mohs procedures, both on my hand and on my face. He is meticulous in his dedication to obtaining clear margins on the tissue excised and to the post-surgical care necessary to ensure the proper healing of the surgical site. In addition, Dr. Lane is a caring, compassionate, and reassuring doctor. Without reservation I recommend Dr. David Lane as an outstanding surgeon. I cannot imagine any person who has been under his care having anything but the highest compliments for this fine doctor.

I had a scary operation become no big deal because of Dr. Lane's expert care. Excellent communication during and after my surgery. I highly recommend and appreciate his care.

I just had surgery today and the entire experience was outstanding, great nurses and Dr. Lane is the best, communicated what he was going to do and answered all my questions, bed side manner is great and his nurse was awesome!!

I never got the chance to actually meet Dr. Lane. My experience was solely with his staff. I was referred to him for a MOHS procedure by my dermatologist. My first discussion with his staff was by phone to discuss my appointment. The dialogue was abrupt and a bit rude, but I brushed it off because everyone has "a bad day" - but I did tell my wife about how rude I thought it was. When I arrived for my appointment, the first words from the receptionist were "you are 15 minutes late"... not a simple hello or good morning. I told them that according to the email I received, I was on time. I'll admit that I saw later in the details of the email it said to arrive 15 minutes early, but it was just the attitude of the receptionist that was inappropriate. They also said that they had tried to call me, but my cell phone showed no previous calls. Then the exchange with the receptionist only got worse. She immediately requested full payment (my insurance deductible had not been met).… I told her that I wanted to speak to the doctor before I paid in full. She asked "may I ask why"? I only wanted to ask him a few questions about the procedure and make sure I even needed it (I was diagnosed a day before with a sinus infection, so in addition to a few basic questions about the procedure, I was questioning if we could even do the procedure that day. My questions would not have taken more than 5 minutes. I was told that a consultation would have to be scheduled for the doctor to answer my questions. REALLY? I am not going to pay a doctor in full without being able to talk to him first. He could at least stick his head out of his office for 5 minutes and talk to me before I pay him in full and trust him to start cutting on me! The attitude of his staff was rude, disrespectful and non-compassionate. And for the doctor, like I said, I never got to meet him. He couldn't come out and talk to me for five minutes before a surgical procedure... requiring me to pay him an inflated fee for a separate consultation? The attitude of his staff was as if they were doing me a favor and I had burdened them by showing up late (by the way, there wasn't anyone else in the lobby). I'm tired of the arrogance and attitude from doctors, and this is a perfect example of those traits.

Amazing doctor and staff

Dr. Lane is an outstanding and caring doctor. I was nervous about the cancer surgery but his bedside manner and professionalism put me at ease! Erin is a great nurse! Even though she is hoping SF wins the World Series. Dr. Lane is the best!

I would not recommend this office. The office staff does not know what they are doing.
