Dr. David R. Roth

The worst experience we have had with this doctor in several operations on my son. Many years of study and experience are shown on the net about him but I believe that he is no longer qualified to operate. He did my son's hypospadias surgery wrong and tried to fix it 3 or 4 times in a row but each time it got worse and he told us then he said "I don't know what to do". We had to take him to another Dr. and thank goodness he fixed it by redoing the entire surgery from scratch due to Dr. Roth's mistake! He is not very communicative and does not give enough information about Serjury's condition, since he is not interested in his patient's condition, he goes on a trip and does not even care to know how his patient is doing no matter how many times he takes my son to the emergency room. I do not recommend it at all, it was a very bad experience and a bad moment with my son for of that doctor.

So the reviews are spot on. There is no warm and fuzzy to Dr. Roth that I could tell. He didn't have much beside manner, but for me ai didn't care. My son had two previous circumcision and both were done wrong. Thing is you can't get that wrong too many times. The last one actually was causing problems and they wanted to redo it. I opted to find another. I read about Dr. Roth being good at what he did although lacking personal warmth. We opted for expertise over feel good and glad we did. He did the job correctly and my son recovered quickly and his pain and previous surgeries are now only a memory. I would recommend him if you want a good surgeon, but like the other reviewer said, don't expect a lot of hand holding.

Dr Roth is an excellent surgeon. My son was born with a hypo spadeous and Dr Roth answered all of out many, many questions. Even the off the wall ones. My son had two corrective surgeries and they went very well. I will say that if you are looking for hand holding this may not be the doctor for you. If you are looking for the best pediatric urologist in Houston this is the Dr. for you.

Dr. Roth is an amazing doctor! He has taken care of both of our boys with professionalism, care and experience. He is extremely knowledgeable. He also took great care of my husband and I, answering our MANY questions. He is very patient and explains procedures and why they are necessary. We completely trust his opinion and wouldn't go to anyone else!

Dr. Roth is very professional and does an excellent job. Hes all business though no fluff. The staff is very friendly and the childrens hospital is great.
