I was very happy that I didn't have to wait weeks for an appointment. I explained to the appointment desk that I just saw my primary care Physician and she referred me to Dr Raminski for a Cystoscopy. I explained that my Dr was very concerned about my medical symptoms and wants Dr Raminski to look inside my bladder to make sure every looked okay. My symptoms were suspicious for a possible tumor or bladder cancer. I was given an appointment for the next day and Dr Raminski was very professional reviewed my past medical history and the series of events that led up to this problem. Dr Raminski explained the procedure and other tests that should be done regarding my situation. I had the cystoscopy done in the same exam room, it took a total of 5 minutes and it was over, with good news too. Yay!! However, more testing is required. Dr Raminski answered all my questions and my husbands too. The DR & the Nurse practitioner were very professional. I did have to cover the amount for the procedure that my insurance didn't cover( my Co-pay) at the time of check out, which was the best money I ever spend. I cant blame them for wanting to get paid for their services especially when that was my co-payment for this procedure. No one wants to work for free. I was informed by the office how much the cost would be when I was making the appointment, after they looked up my insurance coverage. I think the waiting time was average, I expect to wait up to at least one hour before being seen. When you have long office waits that means the Dr. doesn't care about a schedule, it just means he is spending appropriate time with his patients according to their needs. So I wish the people in the waiting room would stop complaining about the long wait. I'm glad that the Dr. cares about me and not his schedule and allowing the time to be spent with his patients!
I have had chronic kidney stones for many years of which if Raminski had ordered the proper tests, I wouldn't have suffered as long as I have. My chronic condition should have raised a red flag in Raminski's head. It wasn't until 2014, (over 15 years of chronic kidney stones) did this urologist finally run the lab work which I discovered by another doctor the condition I had. I had to find a surgeon on my own to correct the problem. This doctor does not explain things well. He is a poor communicator. And I question his technical abilities. His Nurse Practitioner, Eva is rude and unprofessional. She once told me after I had a kidney stone removal, that I could have passed that stone on my own. I had been in the hospital on a fast I.V. drip, drinking tons of water to the point it was making me sick! I have a kidney stone on my left side and they won't prescribe me Flomax! Forget about them prescribing any pain killers too. There are much better doctors out there.
