Dr. David Rittenhouse, MD

Waited in the patient "barnyard" for 70 minutes and then cancelled my appointment and got a refund. Will never be back - terrible business model - like a drive-in - surprised they don't have a Now Serving sign. Really question how I could possibly get quality individualized care in such a model where I am simply a number.

my husband has and has been treated terribly, he forced my husband to wait 3months for a simple prostrate surgery, my husband had to have a cath' for over 4 months because of this dr. I wouldn't take a dod to him. as a dr. he needs to learn what it means to do no harm

I was referred to Dr. Rittenhouse by my Primary Care Provider. I called on a Friday morning to schedule an appointment & was forwarded to "Mel". I went straight to Mel's voicemail. Mel clearly states to not leave repeated messages, it just delays the process of her getting back to you. I did not get a call back on Friday. Monday morning I called again, was forwarded to Mel & again sent straight to voicemail. I did not get a call back on Monday. Tuesday morning I called; straight to voicemail. Tuesday afternoon I called, was about to get forwarded to Mel again & I explained to the front desk staff what was going on. This staff member was clearly irritated & was extremely snappy & rude. She began asking basic booking questions, but was incredibly disrespectful. I eventually asked her if I had done something to irritate her. Again, attitude. Eventually this staff member stated that she had to call my PCP about my referral & would call me back as soon as it was resolved so I could book my… appointment. Guess what? I never got a call back. Wednesday afternoon, I call Mel's number & go straight to voicemail. I immediately call the main office's number, explain what has gone on & a new staff member informs me she is going to forward me to Mel. I restate that I have tried time & time again to get ahold of Mel without success. She informs me that she will email Mel, informed Mel's supervisor, & will call me back as soon as the issue is resolved so I can schedule my appointment. I have little faith I will get a phone call back...

I had really good experience with Dr. Rittenhouse and Dr, Kevin in the Huguley office. The ones that work their needs to really care about the people that is being treated. I was treated their and no one ever called me back, I left 15 calls and left messages and no call back. I was to get medicine and they called me back 9 days after I was to already have the medicine. I feel like some of the workers do not care what happens with the people that have problems and have to come in to see a doctor. Also you do not see the same doctor. I will not go back there again because I feel I got the run around from this office.

First visit went well, discussed history & took labs. Second visit, Rittenhouse discussed a biopsy that I wasn’t ready to repeat for a 3rd time. First 2 were negative. Rittenhouse recommended advanced lab testing that turned out favorable. Third visit, with new lab results he was back to the biopsy, after a solid no, we agreed on an MRI, (his staff forgot to order) 2 weeks passed after the MRI, multiple calls required to receive a call back from his PA, who said the MRI results recommended a biopsy. It took 3 weeks to obtain a copy of the MRI report, that stated to target specific areas in a biopsy - or reschedule an MRI 6 to 12 months. Seems that was over looked. I believe Dr. Rittenhouse is more interested in procedures than your overall health.

Great Doctor

If you want to be seen in at a reasonable time close to your appointment, find another doctor. We have waited over 45 minutes for every appointment. No one in the office seems to care.

Dr. Rittenhouse performed my husband's vasectomy. The office was very laid back and everyone was polite. Dr. Rittenhouse made the process super easy and we are happy with the results. He was friendly and it was a positive experience.

I had a bladder sling put in that was being recalled and he put it in anyway. I found this out after the fact. He had a bad bedside manner and was really mean when family were asking questions about me after surgery. I just had surgery to have it removed by another Dr and he is saying it has grown into my bladder and muscle if removed it will put a hole in my bladder. So now I have to live with this inside of me for the rest of my life. It also was put in wrong or had slipped down. So not happy with this Dr Rittenhouse.

We both thought Dr Rittenhouse was amazing. He even answered his phone at 5 in the morning the day after surgery to answer a concern we had.
