Dr. David Carl Schaefer, MD

These people are the rudest people I've ever dealt with in the medical field. Their office staff does a terrible job of providing you the information you need. I'm retired military. I have good insurance. The staff at this office will push me away and into another referral.

Dr. Schaefer & his staff were excellent caring for my needs, answered my questions, made me feel comfortable, results back in good time, & I recommend him to everyone.

I've been very ill lots of blood in my stool a severe case of pancreatitis I lost 30 lb in 2 weeks and this doctor don't want to see you for weeks then I finally get an appointment and the women in the office didn't do their paperwork work properly so my appointment was rescheduled for 6 weeks it's unbelievable this office would rather let you die.

Family History of Colon CA. Dr listened to my concerns about being on a blood thinner and communicated with my primary about a course of action.

Doctor you need to evaluate who is answering your phone!

I have a serious medical issue. I am having terrible problems and Dr Schaefer will not see me for 90 days. I am an existing patient. I need medical attention. I have called several times. No return calls from his nurse or staff. Last week the Dr was out of the country and had no back up physicians in place. It is unacceptable not to make time to treat existing patients who's lifes depend on you. If I would of know that the level of care from this Dr was going to be this poor I would of never choosen him. He should of told me day 1 that his book of business was out of control. Taking on new patients when you cannot service them is not acceptable as a care provider

Our family has a history of colon cancer. Although I was a new patient, the doctor did not see me until I was in the operating room for a colonoscopy. He dismissed my request for an antibiotic due to total knee replacement. After the procedure, I did not see him. The nurse told me that a polyp that was removed would be biopsied. After several calls to their office, I was told that the polyp was not biopsied because it was lost.

If you have a true problem, don't bother trying to get in to see Dr. Schaefer. No one returns phone calls and they are constantly losing test results and other information.
