Dr. David H Sohn, MD

WARNING!!!!!!! I’ve had the WORST surgical experience with Dr. Sohn and his medical team at UTMC. I went in for acl reconstruction amongst some other things, September of 2023. During surgery Dr. Sohn and his team began operating on the WRONG knee that wasn’t prepped for surgery. Since my surgery I’ve had a wide range of complications on both legs that has decreased my quality of life and inability to be Mobile like I was prior to surgery. Unfortunately due to Dr. Sohn and his team’s negligence I’ve been turned away from other doctors and is unable to receive any further treatment or help because no other doctor wants to see me or touch me. I have young children that depends on me to care for them so this negligence has caused me stress and depression and anxiety from inability to care for us properly with the limited use of my legs. Please do your research before choosing these doctors because once they make a mistake you could possibly suffer from their mistakes for the rest of your… life

Wasn't told that I'd have to come back for the test results. Won't give them over the phone so have to take time off of work. Wish I would of been told that in the beginning. Like the Dr. but my time is valuable too.

Did not wait for Radiologist reading of MRI.Wrong treatment.Got better with Chiropractor

This doctor and his staff are the worst. They will not return your calls, they have forgotten to send imaging requests to both the UTMC radiology department and also to my insurance. There's nothing like getting a call 1 day before my imaging appointment telling me that the procedure hasn't been approved by my insurance yet, and when I call my insurance, they tell me that Dr. Sohn hasn't even sent them a request for the imaging. And it's so hard to even get an appointment with this Dr without scheduling a month in advance, so when I have to reschedule the imaging, I have to reschedule with him, too. This is so infuriating. Do not go to this doctor unless you have no choice.

If you looked up the definition of good doctor, you would find Dr. Sohn. He listens to what you have to say and he gives you the info what is best for you. His bedside manner is excellent, he's always upbeat. I would recommend him to my family & Friends

Dr. Sohn fixed my problem after it went undiagnosed by another Dr. for 5 months. I hobbled around on a very unstable (broken) knee forever until I finally had the sense to switch Dr.'s. He did an exam and xray that day and ordered an MRI, then within 3 weeks of my appt with him I was having surgery to repair my kneecap. Just two weeks after the surgery I was much better than I had been for the past 5 months. I wish I would have went to him the first time. He is also very friendly and energetic.

Surgeons generally have a reputation for being standoffish,know it all,and generally deficient in the personality department. Dr. Sohn is none of these things. He is quite energetic with a very welcoming personality. He is a very nice man and has not given up on fixing my knee yet, even though my knee has proven to be quite difficult, through no fault of Dr. Sohn though. If anyone is in need of a Sports Medicine OS I would highly recommend Dr. Sohn.
