Have you seen Dr. David Tonkin?
Too full of himself to listen

This place makes snap judgments on you without even giving you a chance to clear your record. I think if you have Medicaid, then you are going to get suboxone. I have been miserable here and should never have been treated so unfairly. I did nothing wrong but they are rude and talk down to you. I

Not professional at all. Arrogant, rude. Will not be going back. Do not recommend this dr. To anyone in pain. Admmitted to using nucynta him self, it was apparent he was medicated. Disturbing. I intend to report this dr. To an advocate.

Although he is well spoken, he is very limited in his capabilities according to his staff. I was given one option and when I asked for others I was informed by his staff there was no other options that he provides. In my opinion it is a waste to spend as many years as he has in medical training to only be able and or willing to only provide one option. The examples he provided to endorse topical creams as effective medicines seemed conflicting. After trying them I found that they provided no relief which I suspected after listening to his examples. I didn't return and don't intend to either. There are other options you just need to seek them. I believe that his limited resources are at least in part due to limitations placed on him as a Mercy employee, but I have no hard evidence to support that theory. The best advice I can give is, if you have questions concerning his recommendations or any other medical professional then ask them directly and study their response. It's your health, medical professionals only provide options based on their opinion and the limitations placed on them by their management. If you don't agree with their recommended treatment options, then find another medical provider within the same organization. If they provide the same option, then seek another outside that organization, or an independent. If they provide more options, then its likely a management issue which is limiting the previous medical professionals. If they provide the same options, then you may only have one option, at least in that geographic region.
