Dr. David Woo, MD

Deciding to change my entire life and get well was so hard for me to come to terms with. After my first appointment with Dr Woo, I knew he was the Dr that I wanted to see for the rest of my life. I have not one negative thing to say about him or his approach. Thank you dr woo- forever in debt to you.

I recently started seeing Dr Woo and I can not put into words how amazing this guy is. He is so smart. He is so "real". It's so easy to talk to him and figure out what the best solution is. He is also VERY good at communicating with you if you have a question or concern between your appointments. I can already tell that I want to be under his care forever. If you need a Dr, he's the one - I PROMISE you!

I had a bit of unusual situation when I reached out to Dr. Woo for help on mental health related issues and I could not say enough how much I appreciated his work. Dr. Woo is very smart and a great listener. His personable but very professional approach makes you feel comfortable talking about your issues which is critial to finding solutions for them. When you interact with him you could feel that he himself is a sensitive person and able to well utilize his professional knowledge to have much insight into your feelings and issues to help you. I also noticed from waiting in the waiting area that he works with a diversified pool of clients so if you belong to an ethnic group, especially Asian like me, you would find that he is more sensitive and understanding of your emotion and feelings compared to other capable mental health professionals. Through talking with other clients of his , I found just like me they were all very happy with him. I strongly recommend Dr. Woo.

I feel like Dr. Woo makes me uncomfortable for my actions and he is too quick to assume things that are not accurate. Kept recommending me to take medicine, but I refuse.

Dr. Woo prescribed me Ativan to sleep. After one week I was physically addicted and experiencing withdrawal. Dr. Woo stated that it was not withdrawal and that I "had anxiety" before I started taking the medicine. I was in the ER twice for seizure associated with Ativan withdrawal. Dr Woo never called me back to check on my status. I found a supportive Dr who is now tapering me off of Benzos.

Has to be one of the best in New York! Has a lot of knowledge about mental health problems but doesn't talk down to you or condescend. Is very kind, open and honest.

Dr. Woo is an intelligent, caring doctor. He really listens to what I say and follows how I am doing closely. I recommend him highly.
