Dr. David Warren Yamamoto, MD

Saw him for a work comp case after my attorney set it up as an independent IME that I paid for. Tells me many many things and says I was not at MMI as was reported by Dr. Scott Primack who was not my primary work comp doctor. Tells me Primack is wrong as is a bad rated "insurance doctor" Tells me the difference between insurance doctors and patient doctors. Shows me online what doctors are patient doctors. Gives me his business card and cell number to call him if I gave any problems getting medical help through work comp for my injured Thoracic spine. Later he writes his report agreeing with Primack and states I am at MMI. Called him about that report and he said he was mistaken, denies giving me his cell number and then says he will not correct the report he wrote. Totally opposite of what he said to me in the hour long appointment with him. Both the appointment and the phone call to him after he wrote the report we're recorded. Yes I can record it legally just like they can.… Told my attorney about the recordings, the appointment and the mistruths in his report and other doctors reports. Still waiting for the corrected reports while it costs us our long term disability insurance payments. It's now leaving us broke and homeless. I didn't lie to any of them. They were recorded lying to and about me.

He has been my PC for over 13 years. He is knowledgeable and kind. He understands chronic pain.

I have requested Aetna to remove Dr. Yamamoto from their network. I'm incredibly frustrated that I wasted my one annual physical on this tired old man masquerading as a doctor. I arrived on-time with my online forms completed, but still had to wait over an hour before the doctor bothered to see me. Dr. Yamamoto is elderly and clearly resents still working. He sauntered into the exam room, moving slowly and mumbling - it was very bizarre to see a doctor so disheveled. He struggled to login to his computer and fumbled around with my intake forms, which he clearly hadn't reviewed prior to coming in the room. He never maintained eye contact while speaking - he sort of gazed off into random areas of the room while he mumbled softly. It was concerning to see a doctor exhibit this unsettling behavior. I felt ignored and disrespected. Instead of talking to me about my health issues, all he did was confirm what I wrote on my health history form. No follow up questions or anything...… literally just mumbling out loud what I wrote, and calling that a physical. It took numerous calls to his office and answering service before the doctor bothered to share my test results. I feel taken advantage of and will make sure Aetna stops sending other patients to him. His office is gross - the decor is leftover from the early 90's and there was hair everywhere on the furniture and carpet, like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks.

I’ve seen Dr. Yamamoto for 7 years and have always received great care and terrific referrals to specialists when needed!

The doctors in this office really care about how you are feeling and truly want to help you get better. His staff has been really helpful and friendly. Dusty the manager is always friendly and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everyone is happy and things are taken care of.

If you have the good fortune to be able to treat with Dr Yamamoto for your work injury you are very lucky. He takes the time to talk to you and actually cares about helping you to get better, unlike the big corporate clinics that typically are used by employers.

Dr. Yamamoto was very caring to me and my children. He took the time to listen.

Dr. Yamamoto and his staff has been more than hospitable and generous to me. I started out with a different provider, but soon came to Dr. Yamamoto. He has made sure I had what I need when I need it. He doesn't sugar coat things like most providers, but instead is very upfront and honest about the situation and his personal opinion as a physician. There is no other physician I would highly recommend than Dr. Yamamoto.

Came in for acupuncture treatment on lower back. The appointment was quick and painless. Dr was thorough with details and took the time to answer any questions I had.
