Dr. Dayal Davis Raja, MD

Dr. Raja is a godsend. His high qualifications, high level experience, excellent bedside manner, excellent communication skills and his pleasant personality are just some of the wonderful features of this good man. Truly honored to be his patient. Hardest working Doctor out there. When I was admitted to the hospital, he came at night and saw me there and I was so happy to see him there since everybody was confused about how to manage my insulin pump, he straightened everything out in minutes. All the nurses and doctors at the hospital look up to him. He is the endocrinologist that manages endocrinology at all the hospitals in the area, incredible guy.

Amazing doctor. Very good at communicating. My previous endocrinologist had an accent and was hard to understand. Dr. Raja being a native English speaker made a difference and also his kind nature, smiling face, pleasant personality. Did I mention that he is really really intelligent and leaves no stones unturned! Every doctor I have hold him in high regard. All my friends that see him love him too. He does a lot for the community and is the head of multiple organizations and businesses, he knows how to give back.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This Dr. Does not listen to your concerns nor does he address them or answer any of your questions. he does not do what he says he’s going to do and he is very dismissive. I’ve never had a Dr. Speak to me the way he does. He tells you he does not have time due to having too many patients. I do not recommend at all.

My favorite doc, as good as they come. My only complaint would be that it is so hard to get an early appointment with for a new patient, booking way out. Trying to have my friend see him since she needs a more experienced endo doc than the one she has now. He is in very very high demand, everybody wants to see him. I come from Syracuse to see him and one man said he comes from Albany to see Doc.

My doctor referred me to him because he said that Dr. Raja was the most experienced in complicated cases, always takes excellent care of his patients and very pleasant with his patients. He told me that it was worth the wait to get into see him. I called and asked for an earlier appointment and got in earlier. I went to my first visit with my family and we were all very impressed. He is highly regarded by other doctors and nurses at the hospital. Highly recommend him.

At first, he seemed very nice and friendly. After a while, he didn't listen. He just had his way. Also, I was told he would be calling me between 5pm and 7pm. Never received a call. The next morning, he called when I was walking. I didn't answer the call, so he insisted I go into the office. It was during Covid, and I have two small children and I did not want to go in. Because of this, he was upset and discharged me as a patient. He doesn't like being questioned. It's his way or no way. Not recommended at all

I had a biopsy by Raja and it was not painful at all. He was so very calm, talked me through the whole thing with a soft voice and I had no issues at all. My primary doc sent me to him because he told me he has the most experience and that’s the person he would go to. I since sent my niece who has nodules but doc explained the national guideline and told her she did not have to do biopsy. I get very anxious going to doctors and I remember my doc telling me he is the only Endo doc that does not yell and explains everything he is doing and that is what I usually need. He is legit, trustworthy and very very honest.

I had a thyroid biopsy yesterday. The only thing Dr. Raja ordered was a tiny tube of lidocaine cream to apply a half he before procedure. He did not do an injection of lidocaine to numb me from the inside(which is how I’ve had them done in the past). Well I asked him about it he said no. Did biopsy anyway. Had to stop! Felt everything!!!! It was so painful I was shaking and crying. I lost my voice and my throat felt like someone choked me. It’s still very painful today. Not sure I’m going to stay with him. Plus he does not stick to what he says he’s going to do. Every time you talk to him he tells you something different. I do not have confidence in him now.

An excellent doctor...I do NOT mind going to the visits at all!!
