Dr. Was is firstly clearly uncomfortable with anything related to sexual health and especially LGBT patients. She is completely uncomfortable prescribing Truvada, a medication that prevents HIV infection. She made me meet with a number of specialists when other doctors in the past have had no issue prescribing it. I went to Dr. Waas for mild stomach pains and she sent me to the ER for what turned out to be only gas. The amount of money and time that I’ve wasted as a result of her inability to do basic medicine is ridiculous

Dr. Waas is an excellent listener and extremely respectful towards her patients. On one particularly memorable occasion I came to her just to get a form filled out for school, and through taking a proper history and completing a thorough physical exam, she diagnosed a serious condition (requiring surgery). This is in direct contrast to two previous physicians I had seen specifically for symptoms related to this condition, both of whom dismissed my concerns out of hand. I trust her implicitly and recommend her very highly.
