I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Dayna Cox for the outstanding care she provided throughout my myomectomy experience. From my very first appointment through surgery and recovery, Dr. Cox demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise. She took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect before, during, and after surgery. I never felt rushed or dismissed — every question I had was answered clearly and thoughtfully, which helped ease a lot of anxiety. Her ability to balance medical expertise with genuine empathy made a difficult and emotional process feel manageable and empowering. On the day of surgery, I felt completely confident that I was in capable hands. The procedure went smoothly, and my recovery has been closely monitored with clear guidance and reassurance along the way. Dr. Cox’s attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care truly stood out. I also want to acknowledge how respected and… supported I felt as a patient. Dr. Cox listens, validates concerns, and treats you like a whole person — not just a medical case. That level of care makes a meaningful difference, especially when undergoing a major procedure like a myomectomy. I have never been as disappointed in a care provider as I was in Dr. Cox. I made the appointment based on a recommendation from someone who said that Dr. Cox was very encouraging for women to self-advocate and educate themselves about their bodies and their health. Instead, when I asked about a medication, which she planned to prescribe me after talking to me for 30 seconds, and said I would like to read about it, Dr. Cox was clearly offended. Her demeanor was immediately rude, condescending and impatient. She left for me to get undressed and when she returned, I apologized for questioning the prescription, but it was clear that she was done with me. As I was in the stirrups, she questioned me as to when my last pap was. I was not sure. I just knew I was due. I had to send my complete medical records to the office before I could even schedule my appointment, so I assumed she had the information she needed. So, as I sat with my feet in the stirrups, feeling belittled and dismissed for… wanting to know what kind of medication she was prescribing, she says "Are we doing this or what?" I left her office in tears. I have never had an experience like by a doctor. To top it all off, she never even wrote the prescription because she was so irritated that I asked what it was and suggested I wanted to learn about it before I took it. In retrospect, they called a few days before my appointment to ask if I could come in early due to a schedule conflict., I asked if she would be rushed and if I should just reschedule. They assured me that was unneeded. I can only hope that Dr. Cox's manner that day was based on her feeling rushed or overwhelmed, and that my experience was not one that anyone else would have to endure.
