Dr. Dean Michael Fox, MD

This review follows 2 separate week-long hospitalizations on the oncology ward at St. Mary's Essentia in Duluth, MN with Dr. Fox as the hospitalist. He is outstanding: thinking, knowledgeable about available therapies, creative, kind, warm, offering needed and helpful remedies. He is very approachable and willing to discuss issues and a broad range of therapies that could be useful, including those you think might be appropriate but he may not have recommended as first-line treatment. Your problems in the hospital are about you, not about his ego. We found him to be an exceptional physician, willing to work with and listen to the patient and family members to find the best outcome. Duluth is very lucky to have him. No idea how an office visit might work with a staff as all experience was in the hospital.
