Dr. Dean Anthony Klug, MD

Wonderful bedside manner, gentle and informative, but DO NOT let him perform surgery on you! He burned a huge hole in my septum (the wall between your nostrils) while attempting to cauterize the blood vessels in my nose. And he also burned off my niece’s uvula (the thing that hangs in the back of your throat) while cauterizing as a part of her surgery! Something is definitely up with this very kind man because he is reckless with a cauterization pen! And that is one of the final steps to stop bleeding after surgery. So, use him for ENT office visits, but never, nevertheless this man perform surgery on you!!! You have been warned. I had to suffer thru his repair attempt - that failed and then find a competent surgeon to fix his mess. Oh, and I suffered a post-op bleed that nearly killed me. Heed my words, no surgery with Klug.

Not sure how good Dr. klung is as his office has rescheduled my appointment twice. My first appointment was at 10am and I got a call the same day at 8 to reschedule as the doctor was going to be out the rest of the week. They reschedule for the following week. Appointment was at 3pm and I received a call at 1:20 pm to reschedule because the lady who scheduled my appointment made a mistake and scheduled on a day where there are no audiologist available. Really? This is an ENT office!!! The lady tried to work with the other location to see if they could accommodate me but NO! The nurse offered for me to leave a VM? She didn’t even offered to talk to me. Just to leave a VM for what? For her to call me back in 2 days or not to call back at all? To reschedule an appointment? This is just awful!

I saw him through Midsouth ENT. I used his nurse both of which were very nice. I did not meet him until the day of my daughter's tube insertion surgery. He seemed nice enough. 48 hours later, my daughter spiked a high fever. I called the number provided by the discharge instructions. The instructions said I should call if my daughter gets a fever. I called the answering service around 6AM on a Saturday. He called me back around 30 minutes later. After he asked me what was wrong about 1 sentence into my explanation of what was happening he interrupted and abruptly said, "it's not her ears." He used a stern tone of voice and seemed completely unconcerned about my daughter's health. He was not polite or concerned about my daughter. He interrupted me did not get all the information and was very abrupt insisting it could not be her ears. She was and is completely healthy aside from this fever that spiked after her surgery. I will be taking her to the regular pediatrician and then seeing… another ENT. I am very disappointed with my treatment and would encourage you to look elsewhere for a consistently kind experience.

Although bedside manner is great, no real help when it comes to diagnosis or treatment.,

Thus far, The entire office staff has been very courteous and kind. The diagnosis of my sinus problems has never been diagnosed before. I will have surgery soon and will update this rating.

Klug is wonderful. His nurse practitioner thinks she knows all. She doesn't. My son has a recurrent ear infection. Amanda and her assistant were told by me that one ear was better. The other ear still leaking fluid. She put the scope in the infected ear and then directly in the healthy ear. He now has an infection in both ears. She took him off the med Klug had prescribed that had healed the 1st ear and we were told to stop taking the med so we could come back and have her do a biopsy. She then gave him a prescription for a super expensive medication that he had taken before that only irritated his skin and made it worse in the past. Amanda does not like questions and does not allow any questions directed to Dr. Klug although he's is my son's primary Dr there. We had to see her because it would have taken over a month to see Klug. She asked no questions regarding my son's bout with a 4 year antibiotic resistant infection, She put him on a super expensive medication that he had… taken before that caused a major skin reaction. She is a rushed know it all. I looked up Doctors. She has a DR in front of her name but is not listed as being a Doctor. I know she has worked along side Klug for years but he needs a new Nurse Practitioner to deal with patients. We had trouble with her on a previous visit when we asked for a physician recommendation from Klug. She told us a name that she said Klug ALWAYS worked with. He turned out to be a horrible surgeon that caused only more problems. We found out from Klug that he would have recommended a couple other Doctors for the surgery instead. Maybe Klug should secretly put cameras in his clinic to observe her. The woman that files claims is horrible to his patients too. He is losing patients and money. We are changing Doctors. Sorry Klug, we loved you,

Dr Klug is the BEST!

Dr. Klug seems to truly care about his patients. He made us feel at ease and was always available to answer questions. Soooooooooooooo nice and personable.

I was a patient that had severe sinusitis for about 25+ yrs. I had seen a couple other EN&Ts, but they could not help me. I was almost up to 2 sinus cocktail shots a month and on antibiotics daily and I was getting 2 allergy shots weekly. None of which seemed to help until I a co-worker referred Dr. Klug and his team. It has been 1 1/2 months since my surgery and I feel much, much better (not 100% yet, but it is coming). So far, I am able to breath without feeling sinus pressure in my ears and behind my eyes and no more nose/throat congestions and pain. Most of all the surgery has eliminated the clustered migraines I usually had from week to week. I was spending well over $1000.00+ a year on meds/office visits for sinus problems and that did not include the insurance fees I paid through my job montly. I really want to thank Dr. Klug and his team for being the best. I am a satisfied customer and I have been referring more and more to your office.
