Dr. Dean Allen Nachtigall, DO

This Doctor is terrible I will never go to him again had a new nurse working I felt so sorry for her the way he yelled at her right in front of me she left the room had to get another nurse very rude

He treated a bulging and ruptured disc at l4 l5 10 years ago, I had partial paralysis on my right side from the injury. Acquired an appointment immediately, got me into surgery a few days later and when I woke up I could walk a few hours after. I had a long and hard recovery for 3 years because of the multiple levels of damage I have, but during that time he treated me very well with making sure I had adequate medication while I was going through recovery.

The staff at this office deserves a 5 star. Unfortunately, Dr Nachtigall does not. It was my first time visiting an orthopedic doctor due to a ruptured disk. I saw him three times in total and needless to say I was very disappointed. If he gave me eye contact for more than 30 seconds in all three visits that will be much. He did not explain the diagnosis. I had to ask what was wrong with me and what should I do to heal.. I had to repeat myself several times, he sat continuously in front of the computer doing his notes and dictating.When he would pause, I would ask questions which he completely ignored. Total silence, when one is in pain and in need of help this is just very ackward but when it happens in all three visits it is just plain arrogant and rude. Very poor bedside manners and communication. We, as patients deserve at least the minimum courtesy and respect. Don't expect that much from this provider.

never use him again.rude,bad bedside manners.wife is going to him for hand surgery.told her good luck.thought he had answer for my back.did back surgery and have same results as before but with a new issue on my back.i dont think he looks mri's closely or xrays.spends little time with patients and he is not very prompt with appointments.it was easy for him to give up on my condition after a year of keep going back to him.very unforgiving with injections.doesnt care if it hurts or not.he acts interested to get you as a patient and keeps saying you cant live like that with the pain but it was easy for him to say to go somewhere else.i have nothing for this man and im hoping to keep from talking to him when my wife gets her surgery done.to me he is worthless and heard other people say bad things about him but the way he acted to me i thought different.i was really wrong and regret this man for wasting my time with him.

his bedside manner is terrible and he looks at you crazy while you are explaining your symptoms. no compassion at all.

Great surgeon. He has performed 7 surgeries on me and everyone was successful. What more can I say? Other than his lacking of a good bedside manner and keeping appointments on time, which are both understanding, I would go nowhere else. The office staff is also the best in York County that I have dealt with.

would not recommend this DR - I had to have corrective knee surgery done by another surgeon 5 months after Nchtigall did the original knee surgery. He ignored my concerns when my healing from the original surgery was problematic - I had to almost beg to receive a referral for PT (3 months) which then was too late to reverse the danage!

Office staff was great to me. Dr. Nachtigall did surgery on my back and I finally have relief.

The girls are always as nice as they can be and Dr Nachtigall is always happy and caring we forgot our checkbook once and they never gave us a rough time at all about it..very pleasant

I would recomend anyone with back problems to go see Dr. Nachtigall. He fixed me up great.I was only on pain pills 1 week after surgery ( lower back ) He is the only Dr. to touch my back and I'm 68 years old
