Dr. Dean Charles Pahr, DO

The politics should stay out of Drs practices. You feel like a criminal trying to get your pain taken care of. Dr. Pahr. Is about as fake as the come. He does not tell you what milligram he is writing you, then you have to wait 3 months to see him. Ex, 15 milligrams once a day. When you were on 60 milligrams.i know he afraid of loosing his lisence. But what it does is keep his pateince in pain. I can't help that others have ruined the pain practice, but Dr. Pahr. Could be more honest.

I have seen Dr. Pahr for five years, never had to take pain pills. My pain has been managed with injections when needed and other modalities. Thank God he has been there for me.

Dr. Pahr listened carefully, asked questions and addressed my many concerns.

I began seeing Dr. Pahr when he was at Southpointe Pain Mgmt in 2000. When he went to Lake County, I followed him because I couldn't think of seeing anyone better. He is so caring, kind and concerned. He always listens to my crazy ideas. If there is a fix, he will try to fix it. He is there to "manage" your pain hoping to make it tolerable if it can't be fixed. His office is strict but it has to be in this day and age. Personality wise, he's just so nice! I just don't get those negative reviews.

Dr Pahr and his staff provide excellent care and all are efficient , professional and kind. I couldn't ask for better.

I saw Dr. Pahr over a number of years. The medications he prescribed took an edge off the pain; however, one of them, an NSAID, caused acute gastritis. Now I have to take omeprazole for the rest of my life. I think he is a caring physician as long as you are interested in nerve root injections that are given at the Mentor Surgery Center, of which he is a part owner. Although he did say that they were not a permanent fix - just a pain blocker - I expected them to last more than a few days or a month. Over a two year period I had 9 separate groups of four injections, at an out of pocket cost to me of several thousand dollars (with a decent health plan.) Finally I ended up having back surgery, which completely solved the problems I had at the time. Now I have new issues due to degenerative disc disease in another area of my spine. But this time around, I am looking for a physician whose treatment options go beyond prescription medications and nerve root injections.

He's an awful man who seems completely uncaring of his patients pain. I don't understand why a person would choose a job where they had to care for some of the most vulnerable people that are in horrible pain. Does he like to see people hurting? He is one, sick individual.

Dr. Pahr and his staff are outstanding. Dr. Pahr treats me great. He answers all my questions and he always has a game plan for me. I wish I could give him 10 Stars. Dr. Pahr is the best of the best as far as pain Doctors.

Dr. is a very good Dr. He is compassionate and truly cares about his patients. He has provided me with several procedures to reduce my pain. He is somewhat conservative with the treatments , though that may be because I prefer more conservative treatments. Start with conservative treatments, you can always go to more aggressive treatments later.

He has staff to call and reject referral too. He is a DO I wanted real doctor if neurology and spine combination. Not just the DO that can give you something for pain not what I was looking for. Continuing education allow one to be a MD not just DO short of completion.
