Dr. Deardre Rae Li Chao, MD

This doctor was biased. My husband went to the ER because he was having severe abdominal pain. No amount of medication was helping, so he was worried his cancer had spread there. He let staff know that his blood pressure is always high and that medication did not help bring it down. The doctor seemed upset that he was taking opiates as prescribed. She fully ignored that he was in pain and continue to berate him from the hall, shouting at him so that everyone could hear. His complaint was in his abdomen but she ordered a chest x ray. He was not experiencing any type of chest pain and he relayed that to the doctor, but she just ignored him and did not listen to his concerns. He made sure she was aware of his cancer and how it is possible that it could spread to other parts of his body. He did not go into the ER asking for any type of pain relief, he was only interested in finding the cause of the pain. We now found out that the pain was indeed due to the reoccurrence of his cancer. He… had been having a tumor in his abdomen. He is now stage 4 and terminally ill. Had she done her job, he would not be suffering like this. She is negligent and at fault for ignoring the patient's concerns and choosing to be biased.
