Dr. Deborah S Lenahan, MD

I saw Dr. Lenahan when she worked in Lexington,NC. I complained to her about my eye pain and she brushed me off by saying,"Oh that's is just referred pain". I sought another MD's exam and had an ANA test done. I was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome. Had she done her job properly, she would have ordered lab work at my first complaint. I feel sorry for anyone that relies on her opinion. Always get a second opinion and always request an ANA for your yearly physical. Deborah Holton,Lexington,NC

I know Dr. Lenahan has not had great reviews on here but I had a good experience. She is definitely a no-nonsense doctor but greeted me with a smile and firm hand shake. She had to go to another room and apologized for the short wait (about 5 minutes). She was great with my daughter. She answered my questions thoroughly. I had to send her something via email and her office staff called me back within 24 hours to both acknowledge receipt of the email and tell me what the doctor's opinion was. Her office staff is very proactive and they have called me a few times instead of waiting for me to call. I would recommend her to friends/family.

This Physcian is the rudest Physcian I have encountered. She was extremely rude to my grand daugther's mother. I work in the Ophthalmology field and I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed in her behavior. I refuse to refer another young child to her care. I advise any parent that goes to her to beware of her bedside manner. If you are looking for a physcian to be be kind and understanding, forget it. Go elsewhere.
