Dr. Debra L Frenchie, MD

I went to this doctor with flank pains a few years ago. We tried many tests, and never found anything. Even after the pains mysteriously disappeared for a year, she wanted to continue scheduling me to monitor my blood pressure. I cancelled that next appointment because my primary care doctor can handle that. Their response was, "Ok, I'll call back next week to make another appointment." I was ready to be off the phone with them, so I just said, "OK". Well.....a year later, and they never called back. I was happy about it, but it looked bad on the staff. I accidentally filled a prescription from Walgreens from that doctor two weeks ago, and now the staff keeps calling me and sending me letters to come in for an appointment. I refuse to waste an insurance copay for a specialist just to monitor my blood pressure.

I had been going to Dr. Frenchie and I found her to be extremely unprofessional and rude. She makes you wait for many hours just to get into your appointment, she is never on time, and if you are younger (like myself) she will tell you that others are more important and require more time than you; therefore, you must wait longer. During my year and a half of visits she never told me what was truly wrong with my kidneys, she just told me to schedule another appointment and we'll talk about it then. On one of my appointments her nurses called me three times and told me I did not need any lab work done, so to my surprise when I walked into my appointment, Dr. Frenchie wouldn't even see me because I needed lab work done (even though the nurses told me 3 times I didnt). Finally, when I was trying to switch kidney doctors I had to call to get my records transferred over. She was extremely hostile and she put me on speaker phone so the entire staff could hear our conversation. She proceeded… to call me a liar and refused to release my records. After she had tried to hang up on me three times she handed the phone to the nurse and after the nurse had yelled at me I was able to tell her the fax number of my new doctor. Avoid Dr. Frenchie at all costs.

Dr. Frenchie is rarely on time, however, her bedside manner, communication and diagnosis skills are worth waiting for.

Dr. Frenchie seemed to be a little out of her element when confronted with a rare problem, she wanted extra tests that were not necessary, I walked out of her office knowing little more than what I found on Google.
