Summary
I chose Internal Medicine because it's intellectually challenging and lets me have long-term relationships with my patients. My training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine went so well I completed my internship and residency there as well. I stayed on an extra year as a Chief Resident before starting my practice and joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006. I continue as an Associate Clinical Professor through CU's medical school, and love having students and residents with me in the office. On top of that, I am active in our professional society for Internal Medicine, at the Aurora Centrepoint Medical Offices. I aim for a collaborative relationship, and welcome questions from them whether they're 18 or 108. It's always a joy taking care of multiple members of the same family. I grew up in Colorado and love everything about it. I love to fly fish, hike, cross-country ski, and go camping with my family. I'm a "bee-guardian" for the love of the bees themselves, and hope they will …share a little honey along the way! I've been married forever, and have two young children who are my everything. My black lab is also considered a vital member of the family who's always welcome to sit at my side when I'm reading.
