Dr. Debra L Glasser-Green, MD

I am a Veteran and she and has always made it an effort to go above and beyond to take care of me. I completely trust her and was always able to count on her when she was at the VA. She made me feel comfortable, safe and positive about my treatment and care. Unfortunately she retired and it broke my heart! We always worked together and came up TOGETHER with solutions. I completely recommend her to anyone. I miss her and would love to have her as my doctoe again!!

I'm a 39 yo man with 'Young Onset Parkinson's--Atypical' which basically means Parkinson's plus some weird, maddening extras. In my case, this has meant 12+ years of chronic, treatment resistant insomnia, a complex form of sleep apnea, and cognitive difficulties. I am not overstating by saying that Dr. Glasser Green has helped to save my sanity and improve my quality of life immeasurably. And this after only 3 appointments in 3 months. She single-handedly managed to get ahold of some test results that myself and other MDs had been trying in vain to get for over 3 years-- and she did this within 10 MINUTES. This has led to my finally getting the correct treatment for the complex sleep apnea, and while this doesn't miraculously cure my Parkinson's or insomnia, it has improved my quality of life, energy level, and cognitive functioning immensely. She's an MD Internist as well as being highly skilled in and open to a very wide variety of other treatment modalities (supplements, nutritional… counseling, Bach flower treatments, etc). I am skeptical of such things, but the combination of Rx pharmaceuticals, vitamin, and herbal supplements she's put together for me have undeniably improved my level of functioning and my general outlook and mood. I believe that she has gone far above and beyond the level of effort of any MD/GP/Neurologist I've seen since my whole Parkinson's situation was discovered several years ago. As I am an uninsured person with no ability to work and VERY limited financial resources, she and her staff have been unbelievably helpful and supportive. We still haven't solved the insomnia issues, but because of her efforts I've been able to obtain the 'VPAP' machine that keeps me breathing correctly when I do finally sleep(about 4 of every 40 hours), and this in itself has improved my life to an extent that I couldn't of fathomed before experiencing it. She's solved some major issues I've faced that have previously caused 5(!) Neurologists, 2 GPs, and a Psychiatrist to basically throw in the towel. And as stated previously, while my Parkinson's and insomnia haven't magically vanished, with her help I've had more improvement in 3 appointments with her than through the past 4 years with all the previous doctors combined. She is a wonder and a blessing.
