Think of an oncologist as your main physician for cancer care. After being diagnosed, you’ll meet regularly with an oncologist to explore and manage your treatment options, as well as monitor your condition throughout the process. They may also refer you to additional specialists throughout your care, but they will always be your home base for questions and support. It’s also worth mentioning that medical oncologists deal mostly with solid tumors while hematologists specialize in cancers that involve blood disorders, such as leukemia.

Dr patt was annoyed by questions and was very dismissive. She also over medicated with delotted which is like morphine on steroids. She seemed offended by second opinions and refused to use the pain management plan that worked at differnt facilities. Our family member turned into a zombie every time they were admitted to seaton due to over medicating. Trying to get our family member transferred out of seaton was a nightmare evey time we needed to leave. The physical therapy staff won't try to motivate patients to actually do physical therapy but it wouldn't matter because patients are over medicated anyway. Don't use this doctor or this facility if you have a hard fight ahead of you they will let your family member fall between the cracks.
Although Dr. Patt is a very busy woman, she has always given me all the time I need to talk. She sits down with me and explains things with the detailed information I prefer. She has a brisk and efficient demeanor, but underneath that is a very compassionate and caring doctor. She has gone above and beyond for me several times, including presenting my complicated case to the tumor board and another peer based group when I wanted more opinions. She encourages you to seek additional opinions as well and has no ego issues with that. I highly reccommend her to others and so far, they have been very happy with her as well.
Dr Patt is aggressive, She is very busy and has a lot of new patients every day. You will see her staff more than her. She is very curt and not great at emotional stuff that comes up. Her staff is excellent. The facility is very nice and yes the atmosphere does make a difference when you are spending so much time there. My average visit with her is less than 5 minutes. If I have the PA I get about 30 minutes.
