Dr. Deepika Bhargava, MD

When I was looking for a psychiatrist, I called over 30 different offices before I found someone who would take me on as a patient. I was elated that not only someone would take me on, but someone considered to be "the Best." I had a lot of hope going in, but I was incredibly despondent. When I got the intake forms, I was a little nervous already. I understand needing 5-6 pages of paperwork, but Dr. B requires 26, and at least a dozen of those pages list all the reasons she could dump me as a patient as well as the sheer expense at some of the fees I'd be responsible for if things didn't go exactly right. I had to take multiple breaks completing the work due to the amount of anxiety it caused. Then, Friday, the business day before my appointment, I get a text reminder saying I'd be with a Nurse Practitioner. I tried to contact the office back about the issue, but was unable to reach anyone. Monday morning, I began calling the office at 8 am, when their website and every other page… her name is on says they open. It's not true. They will not answer the phone until 9 at the earliest. I asked about my appointment, trying to explain that my appointment was with Dr. B - not the nurse practitioner. I was told that the nurse practitioner was great. I'm sure she is, but she's apparently not great enough to be on the website's staff page - I quadrouple checked. I asked why I was moved because, given the severity of my needs, I'd prefer to deal with the actually psychiatrist. The front desk person told me that Dr. B often passes off patients to her nurse practitioners because she is "particular" about her schedule. I immediately told them to cancel my appointment because I refuse to be passed around whenever the doctor doesn't feel like meeting with me. If it was a medical doctor, I probably wouldn't have cared; but as a mental health doctor, I absolutely care who I'm seeing and the continuance of care. The front desk was kind enough to offer to see if Dr. B. would reconsider her schedule, but I asked her not to bother because if you put me off once, you'll likely do it again. Also, despite assurances last week, teletherapy is no longer offered, even after the first appointment, which I have a real need for. Perhaps, if you see Dr. B, she offers great care, but my experience shows that you're just someone to pass around if you don't fit into her schedule that day despite assurances you did when the appointment was scheduled.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Bhargava for years. I’ve had plenty of run-ins with her regarding my medications and getting refills. EVERY single month, I have to fight with her to just send the correct paperwork to the pharmacy to refill my prescriptions. She’s never wrong, in her mind anyway. The pharmacists tell me that she won’t respond to ANY of their calls and I literally have to call her staff and endlessly beg them to have her fix the problem on her end. She has cut me off of meds, that could cause seizures as well as death, with no explanation. Then 2 weeks later, I received an email from a lab (didn’t even include what doctor ordered tests or for what reason). I assumed it was Dr. B because she had cut off my meds. I had no problem doing labs but an explanation or a simple phone call would’ve been nice. I did the labs and she still hasn’t filled my script. I also have 2 prescriptions sitting at the pharmacy that need her approval because her NP sent them in and they need to be sent by… an actual doctor. Won’t return calls ever. I’ve only put up with her this long because of numerous other medical issues I’m having and the of the hassle of switching doctors. She is verbally abusive and has a huge turnover of staff (whom are usually great people) most likely due to the horrible way they are treated by her. I wouldn’t send my dog to see her. Stay away at all costs. I’m filing a complaint with the State’s Attorney. People who are the most vulnerable are victims of this fraud of a doctor! I’d give her Zero stars if that were an option!

I have been going to Dr. B's clinic since the past 3 years. She has tremendously helped and guided me through my low phases. She is very passionate about helping her patients and gives the right kind of medication. She has always listened to me and truly cares about my mental well being. I have seen that medication management is one of her biggest strengths. My family are I are truly thankful for Dr. B's support. I highly recommend her practice.

I recently moved to a Texas and have been so happy with my medical experience with both Dr. Bhargava AND HER STAFF. From my initial phone call to my last Zoom appointment, everyone has been so kind, helpful, and accommodating. Even better, I am now in a much better state with my physical and mental health. Most importantly, Dr. B. Has been very careful to personalize my care and treatment, and not just manage it.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would and I was an employee! Every single one of these horrible reviews are correct these people are extremely verbally abusive to staff and don’t give a care in the world about patients it’s all about money. I was told to prioritize people based on insurance for Dr. B because only one pays the best and she only is interested in the new patients because they pay more for their first visit after that she doesn’t have a care in the world and won’t refill prescriptions when we would tell her she would yell and make everyone miserable. My final straw was when she got mad at another provider and went crazy on everyone and to punish the other doctor even thou she was fully booked threw her other patients on the other provider double booking several times and patients of course want to see their current provider and when dr b was told they didn’t want to switch she said “what I said is final I don’t care what they want” Not to mention having to reschedule… tons of patients because she had a photo shoot one day. I’m not sure how or why she is still in business her husband is the same and is a miserable person. They have fired everyone great that comes to work here because they aren’t ok with how this horrible place is ran. I can’t stress this enough for future employees or patient RUN FARRR AWAY!

As a psychiatrist, I scheduled an appt with Dr. B, someone I don’t know, to avoid conflict of interest. She knew I was a colleague. She initially tried to schedule my appt with an NP. I rescheduled. Long wait for zoom appt. The entire visit lasted only 14 minutes and she will likely overbill my insurance to get reimbursed for 90792. Never made eye contact, asked questions in a checklist format and did not elicit sufficient information for a diagnosis, repeatedly asked me questions about panic attacks that I did not have. Prescribed an ssri but wanted me to f/u in two weeks (they can take 4-6 weeks to work) to let her know how I was doing. Never asked me questions about the actual reason for my visit, never asked me what my thoughts were regarding my own diagnosis or treatment options. No medical history from her and did not review the information taken by her MA before seeing me. She did not ask my LMP before prescribing meds. Charges $350 for an intake assessment that only lasted 14… minutes. I feel horrible for the patients who are stuck and have limited options.

For the past 10 years Dr. B has been by my side and the very best with assisting me and my family with my needs. Without her knowledge and help my life wouldn’t be as good as it is today. She is truly a loving and compassionate Dr. who helped me through severe trauma and some of the darkest moments you could imagine. She turned my life around and saved our family.

I was referred to her by my employer, at the time. When I questioned the absurd amount of money for all of 20 minutes talking to my child before giving her 2 prescriptions and then requiring once a month meetings to upkeep her meds. I thought 480.00 was too pricey and worrisome for my child's needs. She contacted my employer and told her I was rude and threatened her. This NEVER occurred. I was just worried about expenses. Seemed super high. Now my child has been on her regiment and she has taken payment from my account and refused to refill her Rxs to even slowly remove her from all this nonsense. I told her I couldn't get my child into a pediatrician to take over care due to shelter in place and we needed to not stop her without doing removal of her meds slowly. She refused to send her refills and has continued to discuss my child's care with my former employer at length [requested they remove her from my child's records and my billing info and refund due to no service] they are… refusing to assist at all. I can tell by the reviews, this Dr is an absolute rx mill and ALL about the money. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!!! Remember, I was referred by her friend and treated this way. Can you imagine how they treat other people?? Yuck. I knew there was something off....nearly walked away but trusted my employer to recommend someone who would be reputable for my hurting child. I guess I should have listened to my instincts. Parents listen to your gut with these people who push $$$ (more than most) with little treatment.

This place is a complete scam! I have no idea how she got best in Dallas two years in a row?? Do not go here, they will just take your money!

she will mess with your medication constantly and if you get sick she will blame you and still not help you. She takes advantage of her patience and has them try samples constantly even if you dont want or need a antidepressant she will force you on to them. The office is overly packed since she books people for the same time slot you pay for 20 to 30 min and only get about 5. She is chronically late in the morning I have had to wait over 2 hours several times.
