Dr. Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in corneal diseases and surgery.
Her expertise includes the latest corneal procedures including full and partial thickness corneal transplantation, intrastromal corneal ring segments, pterygium excision, and amniotic membrane grafting. She specializes in the management of corneal diseases with an emphasis on dry eye management. Dr. Shah also performs laser-assisted cataract surgery as well as refractive surgery (PRK and LASIK).
Dr. Shah has a passion for innovation and research. She has published numerous first-author peer-reviewed publications and been selected to present her work at national and international meetings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Cornea Society, and has recently joined the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Ophthalmological Society.
