Dr. Deirdra L Greathouse-Williams, MD

I've been seen at this office 3 times and it was 3 times too many times. If you expect to receive lab orders, referrals, or anything of importance from this office, don't waste your time. And forget using the portal. I guess no one looks at it. As much as i liked the NP in the office, i believe she is restricted in what she can do under this Dr. 1st time in the office, requesting a lab order and referrals from the NP, the Dr came in saying what she was and wasn't going to do. one was refilling my medication ( which i did't ask for) I got basic labs ordered ( which I didnt need) did not get the lab I requested and only one of my referral requests were given. Currently waiting for them to call me for my test results from the beginning of the year. She did make sure to tell me to call my insurance to make sure she was my provider so she could get paid. 2nd time in the office ( seeing NP because of my first meeting with the DR was less than ideal) I requested referrals, and to address… another concern. I was given an order for an Xray and nothing else was addressed. I was told, by the NP my issue was normal, PER HER DR, and to watch how I position myself when sitting. 3rd( and last time) I requested my referrals ( that I have asking for since my 1st visit ) and a diagnostic test, or at the least, a referral to a specialist. I was told they needed to speak to the Dr that requested the order 1st before ordering. That Dr is still waiting on that call. Again the NP is OK but you get absolutely nothing from this practice, at least nothing of importance. I switched to another provider. The one time I did see the MD, she was rude and condescending and talked over you. If asked I would not recommend this office.

I will say this, when Dr. Greathouse was with the medical group she was great. SO MUCH HAS CHANGED since she left that group because now she doesn’t have the competent staff that the group had. I liked her, a lot back then. NOW, she’s nice enough but that doesn’t cut it anymore. My family saw her( a paid visit just to get refills) 2 weeks later ABSOLUTELY NOTHING we talked about was filled.. 3 rd time this has happened. My daughter had an appointment during COVID and the staff just skipped right over her in the waiting room for HOURS. There is NO follow through with anything, it’s like you see her and it’s completely forgotten. When you call the office they usually don’t answer, but if they do you are put on hold way too long. The going back and forth between the office and pharmacy is literally ridiculous. If Dr. Greathouse calls you back and you are upset from lack of care she gets snippy with you when it’s always their fault. I have now given up, 2 of my family members stop seeing… her years ago because of the lack of professionalism and 3 of us stayed for 3 more years. I wish we did not because it’s been nothing but one chaotic thing after another with this office. We have found a new doctor now, I really just wanted people to know that this is NOT a doctor you should choose if out looking for a new physician. Go somewhere else.

I been to Dr.Greathouse since 2013, in the beginning I really loved her and seem like she genuinely cared but now I feel unheard like what I tell her go in one ear and out the other. She is very forgetful a lot of the time and very slow to do anything. In 2019 I needed to be cleared for a very important surgery, it took her a few days before my surgery to send the pre op clearance to the surgeon when I went to see her two and half week prior to my surgery. I called several times to get it faxed to my surgeon. Enough is enough she has to do better this getting ridiculous.

This doctor is complete joke. Her office staff is incompetent and rude. Google her before your visit - I failed to and completely wasted my time. You will see for YEARS she has had complaints of never calling in prescriptions. I had to call the office 3 times to get the script called in to Walgreens. The office staff claimed that she usually has 300 message in her voicemail and is just behind. If you have that many messages in a 2 day span something is WRONG there. When the prescription when finally called in was wrong. Probably because she did not write down a single thing while seeing me. She also wanted me to have a test done and her office never provided the info to insurance after several requests from the insurance company for the pre-certification so it was denied. I am still waiting for the office to call me 3 weeks later to tell me the status of the test pre-cert. This was my second time seeing this dr. First time a year ago was just as bad. No one could provide… the results of my tests, nurse was rude, talked to me like I was an idiot when I asked questions about the results. I thought maybe it was just a bad day for the nurse. Nope, typical for this office. Save your time and money and avoid this doctor.

Dr. Greathouse always has a genuine smile and caring words for her patients. I have never felt anything but good while coming to visit her, except for being sick lol.

Always gets me in when I have an issue. She is a problem solver!

I've only had my first visit Introductory visit and though the wait was a bit lengthy, it was pleasant. Dr. Greathouse-Wms was friendly, concerned and informative. I am looking forward to having her as my Primary physician.

Terrible Dr. Never met with me, had the nurse talk to me about everything. Which was ok...it was an emergency visit for me so the nurse doing the test was fine. BUT when i called in and spoke with Dr Greathouse directly....HORRIBLE experience. She yelled at me over the phone and was incredibly rude and LIED that she had sent an order in to the pharmacy. Made it seem like it was MY fault that they did not receive it. I could hear her talking in the background to the pharmacy sending them the prescription. I was in HUGE pain, and she was just horrible. I do not wish her on anyone. Make your appt with someone, ANYONE else.
