She has very poor bedside manners and they affected my emotional disposition; her rudeness and comments heighten my anxiety, and it certainly ensured difficulty in forming a positive bond with her. I expected her to be a professional that’s o alleviates illness. She kept telling him " your not my patient" I don't treat you but my regular doctor had assigned her to cover for him in his absence. “A bedside manner refers most often to the way a medical professional interacts and communicates with patients,” a 2012 post on Wisegeek stated. The post stresses that a doctor with a good bedside manner demonstrates empathy, and emits an aura of ease for the patients, while also involving them in health decisions. On the flip side, Delia's poor bedside manners reflected rudeness, cold attitudes, inadequate listening skills, and a complete disregard for the patient’s fears.
