Dr. Della C. Williams, MD

I was recently seen in the ER, by Ms. Williams. My husband & I are furious after reading in the visit summary that my issues were blamed on psychological problems. She was informed I had recently been diagnosed with Lymes, & was on doxycycline. Rather than take ALL things into consideration, it feels like she just glanced at my chart, saw there was a depression diagnosis, & went on from there. When she asked about stress, (after a Toradol injection!) I told her the dr in charge of that aspect of my health was not concerned. That made no difference, as she diagnosed me as having serious adjustment deficits & even stated “… one is struck by the lack of neurological symptoms”. I guess the other drs on my care team were liars. was insulting to read her comments. If she EVER comes into my presence in a hospital setting again, I will walk out, crawl out, whatever I need to

I was in the hospital for what looked like a TIA, but tests don't support that, so for 20+ years, I have been treated like I'm faking. It takes many months to regain functioning after the episode. It's 100% real, but because they don't know what is happening, I am labeled as a hypochondriac and dismissed. She came into the room and said, "She doesn't need any of those tests. She has had extensive testing and there is nothing wrong". This woman is condescending ("There is nothing wrong with you, dear", was her exact statement, verbatim. I'm 53! I have a name and it is not "dear"!) and clearly has a superiority complex. Do not go to this provider.

My daughter has a rare disorder which I am sure Della Williams knows nothing about. When Williams saw my daughter in the hospital she was rude and disrespectful. She refused to listen to my daughter's concerns, primarily that Williams consult with her metabolic specialist before prescribing medication. One of the rudest physicians I've ever encountered. It seems that what patients have to say doesn't matter to her. She acts like she knows everything and isn't willing nor open to others input!
