Went to see her to get some answers about my hypothyroidism. I asked why were my symptoms worsening. She gave me a vague answer, with an attitude as if I was inconveniencing her, Lied about an alternative treatment to my face, saying it wasn't FDA approved and it doesn't work at all and that there were no clinical studies showing that it worked (Wrong, Wrong, and Wrong again.) She ordered some tests, proceeded to tell me that my blood work came back normal and my symptoms (Swelling, Hair falling out in large chunks, etc) were all in my head and I was faking it. Put me on Metformin without discussing side effects, And literally said "It might help, or it might not" while shrugging and said good luck. Literally was the worst experience with a doctor ever, I cried the whole way home. If you are hypothyroid like me, see someone else, especially if you are in "Normal range" for TSH, because she will just tell you that you're faking it.

If you have hypothyroid avoid this doctor. She only treats by TSH levels not symptoms.

I have Addison's Disease. Dr. Rupp did a workup in preparation for my hip surgery and made recommendations to my out of state surgeons. This was my second hip surgery and thanks to Dr. Rupp, my surgeons took appropriate measures to insure my medication levels were adjusted to account for my surgery. Very smooth recovery. Thanks Dr. Rupp!

I was referred to Dr. Rupp by my gynecologist after she noticed that my thyroid levels were low from my blood work. My first (and only) visit with Dr. Rupp was very short; it probably only lasted about 5 minutes. In this 5 minutes she told me that she was going to put me on Synthroid and that I would have to be on it for the rest of my life. There was no conversation about what this was going to do to my body or why it was the best choice for my hypothyroidism. I tried explaining other issues that I was having and she suggested I see other "specialists" about them when she should have questioned if they were correlated in some way to my thyroid issue. When my hair started falling out in clumps (which was one of the issues she told me to call about if I was experiencing) she told me to continue on the Synthroid because my levels were in the "normal" range. I explained that this wasn't going to work and she told me I needed to come in and talk to her about it. I refused as I live an hour… away and am not going to drive that far for something that could be discussed over the phone. I quit taking the medication against her wishes and she never called to follow up on me again. If you are looking for someone who is going to listen to your every symptom and trust that you know that something's wrong in your own body then she is not the one to see.

Dont bother with her if you have hypothyroidism symptoms. She will not test T3. She also will not order additional tests to diagnose your condtion. At this point I dont trust her or her partners and will be going the naturopathy route. Endocronologist s are supposed to deal with hormones and instead she tested for one thing and referred me to my primary doctor. This was also the case for someone else who reviewed Dr. Rupp, and they had Hashimoto's disease and Rupp didnt tell them, their PCP did from Rupp's labs. I am so unimpressed with her.....

I find Dr. Rupp is a consumate professional in every respect. I have Addison's Disease and have every confidence in her.

Dr. Rupp does not believe in Saliva testing or testing thyroid T3 free or reverse t3. If you are looking for a Doctor to work with you if you are within the "normal" range this is not the DR.

Dr Rupp ordered the right blood work that I wanted, however she did not tell me that I had Hashimotos. Just had the nurse tell me my antibodies were high and that I needed to be re-tested in 6 months. I found out I had Hashimotos because I went back to my primary care doctor and Dr Rupp had sent my primary doctor the results of the blood work. I don't know why she did this, I do not have HMO insurance. Also, she does not treat Hashimotos and she would not call me back to explain anything about this thyroid disease. Do not go to this doctor. She does not communicate your test results or explain anything to you.
