Dr. Demetria Michele Smith, MD

I really liked Dr. Smith upon my initial visit. She seems to be a very kind person. However that things went downhill quickly. I was to come back for bloodwork and the staff mistakenly set me up for a regular doctor appointment. I sat for over an hour. I told the nurse that I was only there for liver and wbc blood work. She seemed confused but took blood and ran more test than needed. I was charged by quest for stuff not ordered . The Texas chart portal sent the results which I didn’t understand and I emailed 3 times and called twice. They just ignore me. No return calls or emails through the portal. I’m sad because I thought I had found a good caring doctor. I should have went somewhere else. I won’t ever go here again obviously.

This doctor proceeded to call me after she made pharmaceutical mistakes and basically tell me off over the phone. I would never visit her office again.

She was very attentive, and her staff was nice as well.

Dr Smith is an excellent doctor. She really cares about her patients.

I cant say enough about Dr. Smith, she, takes time to explain my case never rushes me, she makes sure I am comfortable with treatment options, and each referral she has given me has been to other doctors that line up with her excellence. Her staff are friendly and make every effort to get me scheduled at my convenience.They are the best.

Need Thyroid and hormone help and monitor. Dr Demetri was unable to even give me a name of any doctors who "could" help me with my female needs and anxieties. This Doctor is geard more for children or quicky walk ins. Yet another disappoint in the Medical gifts of McKinney, TX. So frustrated.

I would not reccomend this Dr's office. They do not have an onsite lab and you have to wait for any and all test results. After seeing my Daughter for several years she was not able to refill a prescritption over the phone without seeing her to get her copay, even though she had been on the same medication for several years. The ease of the office is terrible and I would not reccomend her to anyone.
