She then underwent training as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. To expand her medical skillset, she went to medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating with her medical degree, Dr. Bogard completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by an anesthesiology residency at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), in Southern California.Dr. Bogard enjoyed being an anesthesiologist, but she had a heavy workload and found the hours were demanding.
