Dr. Denise Chamblee, MD

The previous review about the doctor being condescending is spot on. She does not know how to examine babies and has no patience or bed side manner. She has a special skill though - she can diagnose astigmatism before even looking at your baby's eyes! As the office member said, there has to some code to use for billing. Wow, what a scam!

Doesn't explain things to parents. Very cold and condescending. Unfriendly to children. Have to wait months for follow up appointments and spends very little time with you once you get there.

I loved everything about Dr. Chamblee from the moment I met her. Her demeanor is one of a kind and caring spirit. Her staff follows suit with their well mannered character and promptness during appointments. I was nervous coming in due to the condition I have dealt with my whole life and it was just comfortable talking with them every time without ever being judged or frowned upon. I chose to let Dr. Chamblee do my Strabismus surgery and I will be having her perform the second part of the surgery as well. I most definitely would recommend her and her staff to anyone and everyone.

My son has a vision impairment that cannot be corrected; in other words, he will always have vision that cannot be corrected better than 20/200. The staff is wonderful in not embarrassing him. When he says he can only see the big E on the chart, they understand. He has not been treated like that in any other Ped. Ophthalmologist office. Dr. Chamblee is the best Ped. Opth. we have ever seen, and we have seen many.

I've been taking my son to see Dr. Chamblee since he was less than a week old. She is incredible. My son has a craniofacial deformity that causes problems in his eyes and she follows him very carefully. She is very compassionate and caring and her attitude is a far cry from most doctors with her level of experience. She's very down to earth. My son has a team of more than 10 doctors and Dr. Chamblee is BY FAR the best. My son has been having a persistent eye problem for the past few weeks and she was going to be gone on vacation next week, but he needed to be seen. She opened her office on a Saturday morning just for him and stayed and helped us until she absolutely had to leave for the airport. Later, she called me from the airport to give me the name of a doctor I could see while she is gone. She's a gem! I will recommend her to anyone!
