Dr. Dennis Amini, MD

Great experience in managing my complicated pregnancy. I felt very comfortable with his counseling and plan of care. I ask many questions and he was always accessible. When you have had a bad outcome and need some reassurance or even an occasional wake up call - he is the MFM to see.

Dr. Amini was very comprehensive and reassuring in our assessment. Excellent physician and I highly recommend him. I am grateful for the excellent care he provided for our family.

Great experience after seeking a Maternal Fetal specialist. I needed a second opinion after seeing another obstetrician. Dr. A is very direct. I was a little frightened at first but after he reviewed my chart with the previous specialist, he took considerable time and explained the facts and the reasoning behind his decisions. He strikes me as a dedicated and caring physician. He followed me closely and even reached out to me after delivery. His assessment was spot on. Many thanks.

Knowledgable and very accessible. He was tried to practice evidence based medicine and is not afraid to say that he does not have all the answers. He is quick and to the point. Excellent staff and office.

I love this doctor, he is very nice and my conditions have challenged him a lot but he is great! we easily talk, he calls you at home and I had a consultation with him just over the phone, I told him abt the pain I was feeling and he told me what meds I will take and I don't need to take that particular meds for over 3 days but he will give it for 7 days and after a day the pain should go away and i can stop! we spoke on 5/18/15 i went to get the med at the pharmacy I took 2 for one day and the next day which is today.... I don't feel any more pain, I took one and will take one more tonight and I am done! if he had the power he would had done anything to keep my baby but he did a really great job by doing everything possible as a human could do for his patient! very orgonized, has his nurses that are great! I am mean him and his team are fantastic! Kaiser is blessed to have a doc like him!!!! extremely high recommanded!!!

I was told by my previous doctor that pregnancy was very dangerous and that I would need to adopt a child. We had a serious complication in my first pregnancy. We not get any clear answers until we finally met Dr.Amini. He was knowledgable and thorough about the risks and benefits of having a baby with my chronic condition. He was recommended by several physicians in the community. It was comforting to hear that many physicians and physician's wives had seen by Dr.Amini. My husband and I had our second child under his care; everything happened precisely as he had predicted. We are grateful.

I am a Kaiser member and I met Dr. Amini after I was referred to him for complications related to pregnancy. He is a perinatal specialist and trained at Georgetown. I did not want to see him because I was warned by my primary care physician that he can be very blunt. During my consultation, he was brutally honest; it was hard to hear all the facts but I am glad that he explained the situation and gave me options. He struck me as knowledgeable and well-read. I brought him some literature to review and he gave me some additional articles to read at my leisure; it is obvious that he tries to practice up to date medicine. He warned me not to seek information from physicians online and chat rooms; instead, he directed me to national resources and expert opinions. Mine was a complicated case and sadly, I did not have a successful pregnancy. I really appreciated his candor and his efforts to prepare me for a possible bad outcome. In retrospect, he was right all along and it was just a… bitter pill for me to swallow. I am pregnant again and I will be going back to see Dr. Amini. His honest and open approach may turn some people off; for someone with a high risk pregnancy, you couldn't ask for a better physician. I am even recommending him to my friends who don't have Kaiser insurance.

Superb bedside manner and excellent surgeon. I recovered quickly and my incision is gorgeous. He does not practice gynecology any more and is now an MFM. Not sure where he practices but he left Georgetown. Sad to see him go... :(

Hard to find a patient and thoughtful physician these days. Sadly, Dr. Amini left practice to subspecialize and then return to practice. He is well respected at Georgetown. During my pregnancy, he was great.
