Dr. Dennis Thomas Cozzens, MD

I was referred to Dr Cozzens by a friend and he is very nice. He always checks on my well being and of my family too. I appreciate that he asks me if I feel that we need to adjust my medications each time I visit. He is a kind and friendly man.

If you enjoy not having your calls returned or questions answered; if you don't mind being met with indifference in the midst of a crisis; if struggling to get an appointment because of extended vacations is your thing; if an impersonal relationship with your psychiatrist works for you, OR if you don't mind wasting your time and being worse off than before you started with these guys.... then this is the practice for you! And they're consistent! It's the same lousy treatment whether you're being fleeced in Alexandria or Woodbrige, so there's also that!

Dr Conzzens is the best Dr I have !!! He saved my life!! I will ever beablle to Thanks Dr. Cozzens for his help!!! So all you people out talking junk anout him are absolutely dead wrong!! He is awsome, and very personalble. He really cares about his staff and patients!!!! So to all of you writing such nonscence new to go geat a life and leave others alone!!!!! Thanks Dr Cozzens you are a wounderful Dr. All those other people telling lies to get a LIFE!!!!!

Dr Cozzens is very knowledgeable, and he makes you feel comfortable. He takes you seriously and addresses your concerns. He doesn't want you on medications if you really don't need them. Not only is Dr Cozzens a great doctor, but he's a wonderful person with a sincere heart.

I do not know what these other people are saying. My experience with Dr. Cozzens has been very positive, I would highly recommend him to adults and for children. He is caring, intelligent and will work with you until you get the right combination of medications that is helpful. He is a straighy shooter and will tell you honestly what is going on and I think these others could not take the cold hard truth, but Dr, Cozzens style worked for me and my two special needs children. He is a lifesaver! Thank you Dr. Cozzens!

In short: Dennis Cozzens is a disrespectful, rude, unprofessional man who works with good people and (surprisingly!) knows what he's doing. I've been a patient of his for a little over 3 years now, and every time I leave his office, I have a bad taste in my mouth. In fact, I found a new doctor today after putting up with his snide remarks and unprofessional attitude for the last time. His co-workers are great, but honestly, his services are not even close to worth it if you'd like to be treated with respect.

Typical modern psychiatrist. Dr. Cozzens seems to be influenced by drug company representatives and does not seem to be a big fan of actually listening to his patients. The staff is rude and slow in performance. The actual office is quite tiny and it was common for me to sit in an appointment or the waiting room and hear all kinds of distressing things.Under Dr. Cozzens care, I was given many different drugs, none of which were designed to deal with my own problems, all of which had horrid side effects. If you need Prozac and to be patronized, he's the doctor for you.

I am truly surprised to see the ratings and awards associated with Dr. Cozzens. He was horrible with my daughter who suffers from depression. Somehow, I think that he thought she was just 'faking.' Well, after his horrible advice, she attempted suicide again. I do not recommend Dr. Cozzens to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dennis Cuzzons after horrible experiences with Psychiatrist in Washington D.C. Dr. Cuzzons has always been there for me and most important of all he listens very carfully and will take into consideration you needs and giving you the correct mix of medications. His staff especially Carol his Executive Assistant-Always a smile and beautiful voice. To be honest I really look forward to all my vists to Dr. Cuzzons. Tom the Therapist is also fantastic no nonscence person-warm-affectionate-ready to be there for you. Its been 4 yrs and I have never felt better in my life and for a bipolar this is some amazing stuff
