Dr. Dennis Saul Hoffman, MD

I want to share my experience with this office. I was unable to see Dr. Hoffman due to the girl that sits in the front office. She was very rude and unprofessional. She was giving me a hard time about my insurance cause I did not yet have my physical card in hand, I was waiting for it. It started the day I called to make the appointment, she hung up on me first of all. Then my disabled veteran husband came into the office to help with the insurance issues and she was very rude to him as well. So I received my insurance card in the mail and when I called back with that information she refused to let me make an appointment! It’s unbelievable that that office would let someone treat patients that way and then deny me service due to her incompetence of looking up my insurance! My husband also recommends that no veterans or there family’s bother to go to this office due to the rudeness and misconduct of there office staff!!

I have no issue with Dr, Hoffman. However, the staff is by far the worst I have had to deal with. I have been waiting 4 months for a new CPAP. I have made multiple calls to follow up. Each time I ended up a call center speaking with people who barley spoke English. My most recent call I advised that I had never even received a courtesy of a call back. I was assured I would hear back later that day. 3 days, still no call back. Regretfully, I cannot recommend Dr. Hoffman orthis office for these reasons.

"Who is this guy?" is what the pulmonary doctor from Northwestern Memorial Hospital had to say about him. Punctured my lung and didn't tell me for four days. Put a catheter in me that was the wrong size.

I came in with one issue, which he disregarded as non-important. Asked me to do a sleep test. Was over a month until I heard back on it.

I took my 76 year old mother to him she has 3 cm mass on her lung. After waiting 1 hour over scheduled time. He see's her, Yes you have a mass on your lung you can wait a month or get a biopsy. Well she scared to death she wanted to be sedated for the procedure. He said no. Goes to take her blood pressure she so tiny he says we will just say it 128. I call the next day to get more info. Receptionist says he will call you back .She calls me back and says he wont talk to you until test is done.WOW

Staff is totally incompetent. Doesn't follow up on sleep studies or answer your calls. Advocate sleep study can't even get a response and are frustrated with His office. cpap is part time for them, they stink at it.

I have been a patient of this doctor for many years. The office staff is sometimes difficult and are not patient oriented. I have had difficulty working with them but Dr. Hoffman is an excellent doctor.

Since I been going to Dr Hoffman I have been feeling much better. Thank you Dr Hoffman and staff. They are wonderful.

Dr. Hoffman has been my Dr. for 7 yrs. He has always shown concern for my respiratory health and on occasion has even called me to see how I am doing! He is just wonderful and answers all my questions, is a very good listener too. I think he is the best!
