Dr. Dennis Masaru Nakamura, MD

I wish he could be my primary doctor but he’s a PM&R specialist for my spine problem which he solved and now I’m pain-free. He said I can return anytime, I won’t need a new referral. He is very patient-focused, great. I talked to other doctors and nurses and they said he’s the #1 specialist to see, not the others in their department.

There aren’t many like him.

A doctor like him is hard to find, especially at Kaiser. He’s the best in his department and one of my favorites for the whole medical center.

I’m not sure about those “1 star” ratings on the same date,they were probably by an unhappy person. Dr. Nakamura has always been great with me - he’s knowledgeable, patient, and caring, just like an old- school doctor. It’s hard to find anyone like him in the Kaiser Permanente system.

Dr. Nakamura is knowledgeable and takes as much time as you need. He either takes excellent patient notes or remembers between appointments, especially if there are treatments you don't want to repeat or stressors about the process, etc. He takes the time to understand your needs and questions and provides information, both short term and longer term planning. He has been a vital resource in my chronic condition.
