Dr. Dennis Reid

This doctor elected to notify the state of medical neglect before contacting or requesting contact with the patient’s mother. This was despite previous contact being established and confirming the correct phone number for the mother. His administrative staff are extremely frustrating and often do not pass messages on. I often have to call several times to get an appointment scheduled or reach Dr. Reid, even for appointments that he has requested or recommended. I had an underweight child who we sought a referral for. Rather than check in with the established secondary contact when a message went unreturned, he elected to involve CPS. I would like to think that if a doctor had my contact information and believed my child was at risk, they would contact me. Our child is fine, by the way. The referral was postponed as the child had begun gaining weight. We will be moving our children to a pediatrician who has our family’s best interests at heart, and can clearly communicate concern and… follow up instructions. The last week has been extremely disruptive due to what I believe was an old doctor who didn’t feel he was being acknowledged. He currently is refusing to return my calls. Really professional, great communication, doc. Oh, and he thinks my 4 month old son who he is the primary care physician for, is a girl. He’s been corrected multiple times at every visit. This should have been a red flag much earlier. We won’t continue to make this mistake.

Not a good man. Disagree with him and he will tell you to get the hel out of his office in front of your child.
