Dr. Devin A Mcmanus, MD

Awful experience with this Dr and the way he treated my family and my father(his patient). He spoke down to my dad. Treating him like a toddler. Threatening to not be his Dr. Told me to be quiet after his nurse told me and my sister to behave because we rolled our eyes at how ridiculous this Dr was behaving. Complete chaos. My dad has switched drs and will not be seeing this arrogant man again.

Dr. McManus has been my primary care physician for over 25 years. I find him to be caring, understanding, and most of all a super doctor. He really goes the extra mile in trying to find out what is wrong with you and several times has come up with the answer when specialists have failed. Additionally, I owe my life to him because he went and got me the help (a specialist) I needed when the local hospital would not. I just pray he doesn't retire until I'm no longer here.

Dr McManus managed his first visit with me by not bothering to really look at me. He glanced and commented to the nurse:"looks young for her age." All he did was hold my wrist as I stood behind him...he didn't even bother to turn...to check my pulse. He looked at the chart his very nice nurse had partly filled in, ordered a blood test, another one he mumbled about checking for calcium, and left the room. I've been reassured by his staff that he's an excellent diagnostician. But so was my wonderful former Dr who retired, and he was meticulous in explaining everything he was doing or recommending for my health. I'm now looking for another hopefully great internist!

I won’t go into specifics, but my primary dr retired, after being my Dr for 35+ years, so I went to Dr Mcmanus, needless to say I was not impressed with him nor his office staff, not very caring, wrote wrong notes for my visit, & preceded to tell me I was the one who was wrong,( I think I know the difference between my hip & my knee,) I was told not to go to him from other people, not good bedside manner,

You can have a great relationship with him for a while - then, out of the blue, a switch is flipped, and he turns hostile. Exceedingly arrogant. Examples: When I asked to see my medical records, he scoffed, "Why? You're not a doctor - you won't understand it." I needed his signature on an extension for my electric bill due to illness - he told me I was "too old" for this.

My family and I have been his patients for years and we couldn't be happier with him. He is caring, professional and....did I say BRILLIANT? Hubby is a senior with diabetes and COPD and Dr. McManus gives him wonderful care. We hope he never retires!!

Exceptionally well educated and capable of addressing a vast field of medical issues. He is very considerate of his patients and offers very sound advice.

I've been a patient of Dr. McManus' for 20 years. He is the most caring Dr. I've ever had! He always takes time to answer anything. I never feel rushed! I have so much respect for him & his staff.

Recommend greater efforts be placed upon developing team efforts on patients behalf. e.g. follow through and follow up on patients tests, prescriptions, via call backs or emails.
