Dr. Dhanunjaya Reddy Lakkireddy

Dr Lakkireddy met me following an emergency room admission and implanted a pacemaker the next day. This procedure was followed by the implantation of a Watchman device nine months later. The Watchman device has allowed me to discontinue the use of blood thinners. Dr lakkireddy's care and all follow up have been outstanding.

I took my son to dr. Lakkireddy for further evaluation. He has spells that cause him loose consciousness. He was seen by many cardiologists, neurologists and no answers for more than 5 years. Dr. Lakkireddy has placed an implantable monitor in him. Finally in the 7th month we found him to have a very rapid heart rhythm called VT at 250 bpm that caused him to become unconscious. He worked him further and found that he has Sarcoidosis. He put him on medications to treat the condition that helped to clear all the inflammation in his heart. He has an ICD under his skin and is doing well. Dr. Lakkireddy has amazing interpersonal skills and he made us feel very comfortable from the get go. His office staff is amazing. Yes you will wait in his office for a little longer than what you will in your dentist office. After all you are dealing with a serious heart condition - you have to be patient if you need the best doctor to take care of you. Love him to death. Talented surgeon but doesn’t give any options for treatment. Put in a heart monitor, $250 a month to monitor. Kicker is they don’t monitor it. Presented as though they would call if there was a problem. Had the app off for a month. No call. Nothing from them. If you are told you need the heart monitor please get a second opinion. It seems as though this is just a money maker for them. Not a necessary procedure. Terrible office. No follow up. Seems like they care about money more than the well being of the patient. So sad. Get a second opinion!!!

Dr. L is an excellent EP. He helped my dad with this knowledge and skills. Very compassionate physician who is at the top of his game. His office is busy so be prepared to be patient.

First of all I want to thank him for what he has done for me. I have been his patient for the last four years and I followed him from KU to Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute. He fixed my AFib two years ago. And quite recently I developed VT. Dr. Lakkireddy figured out the underlying myocarditis that caused it. Treated it with medications and brought it under control. A year later I developed more incessant arrhythmia which he ablated with excellent outcomes. He is the man with amazing skills, compassion, humility and healing touch that not many doctors have. He is a special human being that really cares about his patients and he has an amazing team that supports him. He has a zen like presence when he is with you. I love his white board and the way he explains things is just amazing. I had been to big places like Mayo Clinic etc, He beats all of those guys. I did not realize until recently that he is one of the most published EP physician in the world. Kansas City is so blessed to… have him right here in the heart of midwest. May GOD be with him all the time to allow him to help thousands of more patients RK

We had a terrific experience with this doctor. Even though his wait times are longer we got the special attention that was needed. My wife had long-standing cardiac dysautobonia. He was clear and direct with his strategy and three years later she is so much better. Amazing physician with passion for what he does. I wish more doctors are like him. May God bless him . Jim

I have been a patient of Dr. Lakkireddy's for 7 years now. He treated my a fib, succesfully, and I am scheduled to have a pace maker implanted on Monday. He has been very professional, and straight forward. He is a compassionate doctor, and I am glad I have him as my cardiologist.

Dr. Lakkireddy is truly exceptional. He spends all the time you need during all of his visits. He is obviously very much sought for his expertise. So Keep your timing expectations low. He still is better than a lot of physicians in his wait times. His ability to assess the problem and getting to the bottom of it is truly amazing. He looks at diseases in a very comprehensive fashion. He initially saw me for an arrhythmia and heart failure. He quickly figured out that my real problem was an immunologic problem. He lined up all the appropriate specialist and got me fixed up under 3 months.
