This Office, Dr B , and Staff are truly the Best San Antonio has to offer I suffer from a Brain Tumor and other crippling issues and the care here is better than the Hospitals suggestions of other Clinics

I like the doctor because he listened to me and allowed me to ask questions. The staff was very polite and attentive to my needs. They are always on time.

Dr was very professional, he listened to my condition and put me on a right treatment. That helped me with my neck and back pain Staff is great. I would recommend Dr. Buyanov to everyone.

Horrible, nightmare, worse experience. Staff refuses to relay meshes to doctor even after starting new medication and having side effects and requesting a viisit. They will argue with you, insult you, tell you how they would handle themselves do much better in your situation including paying for medication coding more than $500 after insurance. They're just medical techs in the office that take a class for a few weeks, not nurse practitioners, not RNs or even an LVN in the office. The physician assistant is rude and caring and will not effectively address issues. It's a shame because Dr Buyanov deserves better. If you are a patient the only person that truly cares is Ms. Telamontez. I gave them one start because zero is not an option.

Dr. Buyanov is average. He's average in pain management. Provides less than the basic management of pain. I have been going to his clinic for about 7 months, have been seen by him twice. My pain has never even gotten to a level that is tolerable. I am seen by Mike Valdez PA-C who shows no emotion. I cry every visit, though I try not to, when I try and explain the issues of pain I suffer from and the effects it has on my life and the life of my young children. I state I "try" to explain my issues if pain because I am cut off every time without any effort to seem polite. He took me off oxycodone 30mg 4x/day did not taper me off. After several weeks the pain was so intense I went back with complaint of pain uncontrolled. The he prescribed hydrocodone 10/325mg 1 tab every 8 hours if needed. Hydrocodone is effective for about 4 hours. He cuts me off when I try to explain where I am having pain, he cuts me off when I try to tell him the intensity of pain like the scale 0-10, he cuts me off… if I try and describe the type of pain such as burning, stabbing, aching ect... I imagine he just makes something up for the sake of documentation. I was prescribed something that even with insurance would cost me over $500. I called to the office to see about another option. The girl that answered the phone was so rude, which they typically are, she berated me for not being able to afford it and assured me that if she needed it that she would pay it. Try to be seen by another pain management MD and you have been labeled a difficult patient. They cover their butts in their documentation. So they look like saint and the patient is always in the wrong and difficult.

I have been a patient of Dr. Buyanov for many years, and always had a great experience. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and honest. First time I saw him about 10 years ago.I've had a chronic back pain, that eventually got unbearable, I could not walk, and my toes were starting to get numb. Dr. Buyanov examined me and said that I had a herniated disk that was pressing on the nerve, and I needed surgery ASAP. He recommended a great surgeon Dr. Carl Swan. Surgery went great, and I was out of pain almost right after it. I was impressed with Dr. Buyanov professionalism and honesty. There are lots of doctors out there that would try to do unnecessary procedures, and milk your insurance before referring to a proper specialist. Dr Buyanov made the referral and all the arrangements for surgery same day. Last year I was in a really bad accident. My car was totaled, and even though I did not break any bones, I started having severe neck pain almost immediately after the accident. Dr.… Buyanov recommended conservative treatment. After several easy injections he did , my pain is gone completely! I think Dr. Buyanov is a great physician. I trust his professional expertise, and would recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Buyanov extremely intelligent and efficient with his work ethic. II highly recommend his skills and professionalism to anyone out there who is seeking pain management doctor.

Dr. Buyanov is a the most caring doctor . I will never forget the time he looked at me before my injections and he said that he thought that i may have a thyroid problem ( i.e a goiter) .He showed me his area of concern and recommended that i see a specialist. I did . The doctor that I saw said that I had a goiter after doing blood work and an ultra sound and has been treating me every since. Every time that Dr. Buyanov has given me injections with or without sedation I feel so much better! He is truly gifted. The staff is great. I have recommended so many people to him including my husband and daughter. I will continue to do so. The medications that he prescribed throughout the years have worked very well.

I was referred to Dr Buyanov for chronic back pain/bone loss. I am a senior citizen and like most take a lot of meds. This doctor refused to continue treating me. I believe he did so because he no longer wanted to prescribe the narcotics I need to perform basic daily functions. He is a pain specialist....?

Overall he did a fabulous job. His office staff is attentive.
