Doh Yoon Cha, MD

Very professional

I came to Dr. Cha for a second opinion, based on favorable reviews I found on sites such as healthgrades, and ratemds. I have an ongoing problem with an enlarged prostate, diagnosed as BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) and extremely high urinary frequency at night. My excellent prior urologist retired, and so I sought a new one. Dr. Cha prescribed three different medications, two of which had already been prescribed by my prior urologist (and he knew that). All had very severe side effects and otherwise hardly helped my condition. Once these didn’t work, Dr. Cha seemed to lose interest, with each subsequent office visit getting shorter and shorter. Even more so after I was hesitant about a surgery he recommended, given that he said it would give only temporary relief and I would need to wear a catheter for many weeks following the surgery. He would rarely spend more than 5 minutes in his office consultation with me even initially. Later, it became more like two minutes. I timed one… of my last visits at exactly 60 seconds. I personally strongly recommend against visiting this urologist for the reasons above.

Dr. Cha is an excellent doctor. The downside is it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to contact him through My Chart or the Phone. Have thought about moving to another Practice because of the lack of efficiency within his staff, although they are very polite and professional once you finally get through.

Dr. cha is a great urologist. He has been my docotor past almost 6 months. He is very knowledgeable and young smart docotor. His two staff members I dealt with were great. Titiana is one of them. I am so sorry I forgot the other lady name who was truly helpful today. She has contacted the lab for my urine culture restult and got me the copy of result within 10 minutes. She really went above and beyond to get reports ready for me and without my appointment she reached out to Dr. Cha and discussed my case and requested to order more medicines on my behalf from my pharmacy. Remember one thing if you do awesome job people love to recognize you as a token of appreciation. Thank you all.
